I found out there is a 31130 FT TC4 conversion kit that can convert Team TC4 to FT spec.........however, does the FT TC4 kit itself that has something that this 31130 conversion kit don't have...?
What I want to know is....if I buy the regular TC4 (new or use) and buy a conversion kit, will I ended up having a FT TC4 with some extra parts like the tub and stuffs that I will probably never use...(LOL)

And overall, it is like good $50 cheaper (if I ended up buying a used TC4 which I can find around $120 almost everywhere..) then buying a FT TC4....yes, I know, stupid question, but I have plenty of time this morning...thanks all

If you buy the FT TC4 Conversion, to upgrade your TC4 tub chassis, you will still need to buy several items to have a car identical to a Factory Team TC4. Stuff like the plastic outdrvies, Carbon parts such as A-Arms, Steering and hub blocks, sway bars, blue aluminum screws...etc. If you want a car identical to a Factory Team TC4, it may be cheaper to just buy the Factory Team TC4.

And yes, you will have the tub and shock towers and misc. other stuff left over from your other car that you'll probably never use.

NO!

I have a Knuckle arm and Rear Hub, it looks sturdy and nice but the bearings just go thru them, they are ot fitted very well, there is a little play. If youcompare it to the stock knuckles and rear hub--they are way to loose inside. Like you do not need to push them thru, it slides!!!

The Steering arms---- bind like crazy. You have to inspect them every run or tighten them. But the slop is reduced from the standard steering assembly.

The solution I see is use the steering assembly for the yokomo LCG.
I tried it, and it's like this / \ but will move all the way through, left and right.
For now I have to just inspect the screws of the 3racing steering arms every run.

Oh man I am loving this car a few more tweaks here and there and it will be perfect. I can't believe how easy it is to drive and the manual setups are pretty much spot on.

Default Bearings

Any body know how to get the seals of the FT TC4 bearings?

I am trying to clean out the factory grease to free up the drive train a little more.

Thanks,
E

There are little C-Clips that hold in the seal. Remove the C-lip with the pointy end of an exacto knife and the seals will come right out.
Hoestly, I would leave them the way they are. By the time you have found a decent set-up on the car and are running some good lap times, the factory grease will have broken down, the bearing will be broken in and all you will have to do is spray them out (without removing the seals) and relube them.

not a good idea to take the seals off the bearings because it makes them fragile. if you hit something it will destroy the bearings.you'll be replacing bearings like crazy, i know
