Default tire sauce

What tire sauce are you guys using?
We are going to go to a citrus base or no smell sauce.
Are you guys using any of this stuff?
God Bless

Walt had the shockcaps right. Probably because he has them. It is an AE product. The top plate was , as Barry put it "something we are trying". It was basically the same, without the ears for the stand off. And thinner than the stock one.
That was Barry's car in the picture, with his 19 turn motor in.

If you add that cost to a Team kit, it comes out roughly equal to a FT-TC4 as well....so I estimate the conversion kit selling from $135-$155. No more, no less.
"Tower Hobbies has it listed for $149.99."

Damn....I'm good!

Ok I have a discussion topic. I want to get a better understanding for how the shims under the different blocks will affect the car. I am sure I am not the only one. I know pro squat, anti squat, anti dive etc. I want to know what each does and when is the time to change them.

Sweet... this will be a great discussion. We have a basic explanation in the TC4 manual... but to better define those statements can make it easier to tune the car for the average Joe. Who else is up for this?

Exactally, I was hoping maybe Walter could chime in and maybe Tony could help us out....maybe get Barry to give us some input. This is a great feature on the car that I think many people overlook and don't understand.

Everyone who has a TC3/TC4 should have the TC3 Tuning Guide available from the Team Associated Website. It will cost around $6.00 and is downloadable from their website. It is a very valuable tool and is worth way more than $6.00. It does into much detail on these topics you discuss.

The manual breaks items out into fron tend and rear end of the vehicle. And each topic is discussed and covered in 1 page and accompanies by photo's.

It's actually one of the best tuning guides I have ever used. Get it.

I agree that its probably a great Idea to get the tuning guide, but sometimes here you will see an answer to a question worded a little differently and it will sink in. Besides isnt that what these forums are for? I mean no knock on AE making their money. If no one else cares about the topic then it will die....I hope thats not the case but I guess only time will tell.

Oh and I just looked on AE's site and there is no listing for a TC4 guide yet. Only a guide for the TC3.

I might be able to help with that. Give me the following info: 48 pitch or 64 pitch, what kind of motor, rubber tires or foam tires (if foam how big) and roughly the size of the straight away of the track. Hopefully I can give you a decent starting point.

Well since any change you make will effect both cars the same way, I think you'll be safe downloading the TC3 Tuning Guide and using it for a TC4.

But in short, adding anti-squat to the front or anti-dive to the rear will stiffen up the suspension at that end of the car slightly.
Anti-squat and anti-dive are both adjusted the same way...you raise the forward most suspension block/blocks on the specific end of the car you want to alter. The more you raise it the greater the effect.
You will most likely never run pro-dive. At least I never have and I cannot remember ever hearing anyone else who has.
