Hey dude,
i have a TC4 tub chassis and battery brace and motor mount, but live in New Zealand so i figure getting it to you would cost a packet which you don't have. Unless you've got family over here who are on their way back to the US??
PS:Bullies suck mate, but what will prevent him from doing it again. Doesn't your track have a code of conduct or something?

TEACH: The last time i needed IRS parts i had to get them from Tower. Debs can get them, but doesnt always stock them. The last IRS item i ordered through Debs never came in, after two weeks passed, i just stopped asking.

Shizzle happens i guess...

Go on IRS's site and call Dave. He can probably work something out for ya. Maybe send them to a local hobby store if he can't send them directly to you. www.teamirs.com

warpig:
First, I'm pretty sure TRC doesn't make plaids in a 30mm size. Second, I have to wonder if the front knuckle was redesigned prior to the release of the FTTC4. I've had a TC4 since its introduction have used both composite and carbon knuckles, so its more than just one bad set. Also, the TC3 never had this problem. Also also, its not just TRC foams, as I have the same thing happen with Jacos. In conclusion, this is an issue that has been discussed on this thread since last fall, so its a known issue affecting many people and not an isolated incident.

xDeeDubYax:
Yeah, I use the tire truer at the local track and yes, I have trimmed the tire in the manner you described. I just use wheel spacers now, instead of risking life or limb due to flying bladed objects being kicked up by a spinning wheel. Also, why bother buying 28mm foams and then cut them down in size, thereby reducing their footprint? Makes no sense. And why is that X-Ray, Losi, Corally, etc. don't have the same problem? Are these cars not "race bred"? Finally, the fit is so bad that the wheel actually binds up on the knuckle and has nothing to do with hitting the boards.

I haven't seen any problems with rubbing on the rim on either of my tc4's. I've used trc, Jaco and Parma rims. The only problem (if you can call it that) is rubbing on the shock cup when used on the outer hole on the arm. Luckily I run on carpet, so I use the inner hole on the arm and don't need that much steering throw anyways.

RandomFellow:

I think he mean trim a partial of rim off... the inside wheel where
it rub against the buckle or steering knuckle..

you either trim the wheel well or shave a little bit of material off your car.
or.... like you said... a longer hub..

I just trime the wheel..

No, I'm talking 28mm. TRC does not make a Plaid foam and Jaco does not make a Double Pink/Orange foam in the 30mm size. This is an old issue from last Fall that really does not need to be rehashed, but yes, the steering knukles on the TC4 were real tight on some 28mm foam tires, but it was hit and miss depending upon the tires and/or the knuckles.

An old issue that does not need to be rehashed? Since when do others decide when to talk about a subject?

Have you guys with fit issues. Have you tried spacing the wheel out with the hex shimms?

If you guys want to keep talking about it, then go right ahead. Have fun. The operative word in my previous post is "were", as the issue does not seem to be as prevelant of a problem anymore, though it will probably show up now and again when someone uses older knuckles. As far as spacing the wheel, that is what I already suggested.
