Andrew hold your car up and compress the shock. See how much camber change you are getting. It sounds like you are either wayyyy off in setup and your over driving the car or something is binding up and causing the suspension to remain completly extended. Check your droop and shocks as well. Make sure that nothing is preventing your shocks from compressing. If the car went into the turns hard enough and the shocks were not compressing you could "wheel it" through but it will not be fast and it will cause all kinds of tire issues. I would really stop and look for something totally off the wall and stupid. If all else fails pull the shocks off and just go over the suspension with out them on there. maybe even try switching the front and rear shocks just to see if it helps the problem.

Hope I can give ya at least an Idea as to whats wrong.

Bob

ANDREW: Do what Bob said, make sure everything is kosher. After looking at the setup, i would make a few changes. You have the suspension mounts as low as they can go, and still have anti-dive, but the camber link is trying to give you a ton of camber change. On the inside of the front camber link, use a black ballstud, no shims, inside hole closest to the shock tower. Change the black ballstud on the top of the steering knuckle/caster block to a silver ballstud, try a 5 minute run on flat tires with -2 degrees of camber, and see how it is. You should be able to add .030 under the silver ballstud for more adjustment, on the steering knuckle/caster block with Jaco tires, and the ballcup not rub the rim. You will have to experiment if you use different rims and ballcups. This should help some, let us know.

You have no idea!!! I have personnally seen him drive his TC4 into a burning building and recover 7 stranded families. Dave W. Rocks!!!
Seriously though, I have doubts about some of the advice given on these forums. A lot of guys post on here that seem to know what they're talking about. I'll definitely support the DW for president campaign. He knows his RC cars.

Homer its a great car. If you can find yourself a tub car then consider getting the BMI kit. Both are top notch. You won't be dissapointed. I personally already had a tub car and I run for Jason over at BMI so obviously I leaned towards his car. DW on here runs the FT car and really has alot of good ideas and feed back. He pays attention to the details....thats important. I hear that Express is going to be having a race before the Carpet Nats down in North Carolina. That should be in Feb but no date yet officially. Any chance we will see you there?

Yes, there will be a battery strap option....part #31126. It will come with 2 standoffs, a strap and (I think) our thumbscrew setup.

When will the battery strap be released? Can I go to my LHS and order one?

Quick note: just checked and the battery strap will NOT come with the thumbscrew setup....still capheads and body clips.

dodgeguy: Should be available in the next couple weeks. It was a last minute thing that was, well, last minute.

Bob: We have a couple hot setups (we think) for that race....all the boys are on their way out there! Hopefully we will have the same luck we did at the Reedy Race!
