My carbon tub chassis rocks when i put it on a flat table. Does this mean its tweaked? and im talking about a noticable rock too, at least a 3mm difference from corner to corner. i called ae and they said id have to send it in to see if it really is tweaked but im pretty sure it is... any suggestions on what to do??

Mike

My regular plastic tub does the same thing. I just adjust the tweak out of it the best I can using a tweak board. My ride height ends up being a little off on one or two corners (maybe a 1.5 mm difference lowest to highest), but as a rookie its not enough for me to feel yet. Let me know how sending it in to ae works out. I am so Anal Retentive that I would love to have everything "zero" out. You might also check some new chassis at your lhs if available to see if they suffer the same problem.

For you guys running spools what are you doing not to eat front gears? My TC3 with a spool for some reason never ate gears no matter what I would touch. Anyone have the part number for gear for spools only?

Does the TC4 have some sort of alignment problem that the TC3 didn't have?

I use a spool in my TC4 and it has had well over 20 runs and I haven't stripped a gear yet, the crown gear does have some wear on it but nothing too bad.
What I did is buy a pack of shims, Assoc. make a small pack for the NTC3 that has about 10 of the big diff shims in it and used those to shim the front diff up nice and snug and I also use a small amount of the stealth grease on the gears.

Well,

My first day on the car....Tried the Juho Levenen "Basement" setup and...it sucked.

I ended up removing EVERY shim on the car, including the ones under the pivot blocks & shortening the wheelbase to the shortest possible setting on both F&R to make the car driveable. I'm still a few tenths off my old XRay Evo2 long-arm's lap times but I didn't bring a front diff with me (My track doesn't really have enough grip to run a one-way in this car) and I didn't break any knuckles! I think with a front diff and some TLC this car can be pretty good

This car is more consistant than my TC3 ever was!

Depends, where is the rear loose? into or out of a corner?, mid corner?, on or off power?

Your car was loose at Frederick? Wow that track has more traction than velcro with glue on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has carpet like traction.

I'm running Gold front springs and blue rears with 40wt and #2 pistons at C. Shocks all the way out on the front tower and in one on the rear tower. 2.0 rear toe in block and have lots of traction.

Try moving the bottom of the front shock to the outer hole.
Also try putting a shim under the rear front arm-mount to give the front some anti-dive

Soften up the front end. I'd say drop a front spring rate. If your running red, try a gold
