There lies your problem. You cant simply change chassis and have a TC4. More changed then just the chassis. If you want to take the cheaper way go look for a used kit and then grab the BMI conversion. Then you will have a top notch car.

There will be some slop in the system no matter what....just the design. We have, however, tightened up the tolerances to limit it as much as possible. It is the same rack system in the tub car so, yes, you can use the parts on the Team kit.

Default TC3 to TC4 chassis conversion

Thanks Bob for your reply. I do have a tc4 tub car avalible, the biggest problem I have is no information or avalibility on the BMI chassis other than posts on that thread, (websites are great when updated) I E-mailed BMI and all I receved in reply was that they now take credit cards 7times. IRS and ASC. were no more help, the 3Racing kit on Ebay at least had a link to 3Racing's website with good pictures and parts lists ( I Would rather buy an american kit for an american car). If I could get good pictures, parts lists, price, avalibity, and shipping info. I would gladly go with BMI, but when it seems you have to be on the list to get anything from Jason it really makes it hard to go to him. I'm not bashing him I'm sure he's pressed to keep up and still have a life.

Well this is the first AE car that I have run since the B3 and but I can tell you that I NEVER had any problems with their customers service. As far as BMI, the best way to reach Jason is via PM or email. I asked him for my kit and it was sent out the same day. If you want to wait for the FT car I'm sure it will be a nice car. If you don't want to wait then give the BMI a try. As far as IRS...I live less than an hour from Dave and race with some of his guys all the time, his car is nice too.

As everyone who has purchased from BMI over the years knows....theirs no list to be on to get products or unlimited info from BMI's thread or contacting jason directly......honestly with one question on the thread you'd probably get several responces or pictures of whatever was inquired about......and I've already contacted you for direct one to one help if you have any questions reguarding any products or their availability......

Here is a setup question for everyone, How are you all running your cars as far as the shims go. currently I have .050 on both ends in the front and .075 on both ends in the rear. Is that pretty much a standard? This is for rubber tires on ashphalt stock and 19T. Also how would you change this for foam tires on carpet. I remember from my MI2 days that we ran one roll center outside and another inside. Im assuming it is the same with the AE?

Any update of when the TC4 Factory Team Kit will be available? Tower originally said July, now they have it listed as "On Order". Trying to decide between this and the Xray T1FK05 but can't hold out much longer.

bob barry, i am currently testing my tc4 with different spacer thicknesses. for example the tc4 comes stock with .025", .050", and .075" i'm trying out .030" spacers ... so basically i'm running .060" all around in front and .090" all around in rear and let me say that my car is handling great but it also ran great with the stock ones so i guess try it all and stay with what is faster.
