That is one SWEET Soldering Station for $36! I wish I found that before I plucked down the dough for my Hakko.

Andrew: They are definitely some sweet caps! You might wanna go ahead and source you some replacement bladers to have in your pit box for spares. If you get motor spray on them, or after some time with use, they swell, making it difficult to assemble the shock without making a horrible mess, and/or letting air in under the bladder. The bleeder hole caps are my fave, altho the shocks do not feel anywhere near as good as they do with the bladder caps. Convenience. And it just so happens i HATE building shocks. So gimme a bleeder screw anyday.

So i guess there are no really good pics of the FT TC4 eh? All the pics i have seen make the car look close to the car Billy Spence/Mike Dunnigan have had for awhile. Has a release date been made?

If I'm not mistaken Billy and Mike are running the IRS version. Since Dave Irgang is affliatied with AE he might have had some input on the FT car but that is purely speculation on my part. I did see the IRS car and it definitely looked trick but I have not driven one yet.

The caps (Yokomo part # ys-8d) do come with bladders. If all you need are bladders scroll to the bottom of this page

http://www.yokomousa.com/newproducts...yspeed001.html
Those little black cylinders also come in the ys-8d cap package and go between the bladder and the cap. Notice the different colors represent different resistanceszszs (dumb word) for different conditions.

I also found a Yokomo part # ys-8dmh hard shock diaphram, but I cant get pics so I am not 100% its the ones that come with the ys-8d caps.

For the whole "top end" of the shock go here
http://www.allspeedhobbies.com/catal...2e2cf110d781e2

14th from the top.

and here for the ys-8dmh
http://www.allspeedhobbies.com/catal...2e2cf110d781e2

third from the top

Default wanna feel butter?

hey anyone else try this?

i took some of the jrx-s 10mm bladders and dropped them in my associated shocks with stock caps

to build fill shock and bleed air then just put bladder in and screw on cap. have not found it easier and it cost all of 2.00(about)

they both return exactly the same and they are smooth.

any opinons? i have been running on asphalt for two weeks this way.

Joe B is right, compare your old diff width to the used one way, you can order outdrives for elec, two different styles, standard old style and HD new style, HD style has large I.D. for ring gear, make certain.

the diff ring gear center is bigger inside where it slips oner the oneway center section and bolts on, the little outdrive cups that slip inside the oneway brg are larger on the heavyduty oneway, so there are two different oneway out drives that you can order, compare the ring gear with a standard differential gear, if the one that came on your oneway is sloppy big when you try to fit it on the diff, its a HD unit, if it's close to the same size as a standard diff gear it's a llight duty. good luck, hope I explained it well enough.
