I have a setup question, I am currently running the 3 deg toe in block on the rear and plan on going to 2 deg. I have seen that people are using the 3 deg block with one of the front blocks in the rear. I was told this gives you 2 deg and widens up the car. Is this correct? Why would you want to widen up the rear? what advantages/disadvantages would that have. and why not the front too?

i can't see why it would widen up the rear but anyway.....
2 degree rear toe will make the car less stable opposed to 3 deg toe...but if you make the rear end a little wider then it will make it more stable (as the car will have a larger footprint)
i don't see why anyone would want to make it wider because it would be illegal..not sure about US but over here we have boxes that our car must fit into (minus the shell..only the wheels have to fit in) and the box is 190mm wide..if i made my car wider it wouldnt fit (i have about 2mm left on the fronty and about 1mm left on the rear)

I understand the differences in the actual toe in. I just wasnt sure why guys are running the wider rear. from what I was told is you replace the Square block with front Circle block and use that with the 3 deg X block. One of the local AE team guys told me to try this and the car I bought had it on there as well.

It does widen the rear of the car up because you are changing the toe in amount from the front rear block and not the rear rear block like you usually would. When you change the cars toe in from 3, to 2 degrees using the marked blocks(2 degree block) in the rear rear of the car, you actually narrow the rear, because the pins are allowed to move in toward the center of the car, decreasing the rear width slightly. This can make the car unstable and harder to drive. If you change the toe in, to 2 degrees using the front rear block, this allows the pins to move out from the center of the chassis giving you a wider rear width, yet still giving you 2 degrees of toe in. THis would make the car turn better under acceleration but will not make it unstable as you have gained some rear track width.

I want to use the yokomo shock caps for my assoc shocks. I just can't get the parts. I am looking for yokomo part # ys-8d. I've looked at several online hobby retailers and they are all out or only have one set on hand. I believe they are sold in pairs so I need two packages for a total of four caps and bladders. I would rather not pay double shipping to get one set from two different shops. Any ideas on who has these in stock? Thanks guys.
