just a word of warning guys.

i'm having to replace all 4 hubs because they have serverly worn out.

i came to rebuild my car on monday after racing it on saturday and sunday and it turns out that the hex had been rubbing against the hub, it had worn down the face of the hub ALOT but it had also made the hub get to warm and go soft...the bearing also wore the hub on the inside so the bearings had like 1mm of play inside them hubs each.

i know this was all because i hadn't shimmed the hexes etc but wouldn't you expect AE to include some shims for this? i have now shimmed it and replaced teh plastic hexes (that were totalled) to alluminium ones so hopefully this won't happen again.....but if you haven't shimmed yours, i'd recomend you get your hubs and shim them!

We include 4 shims...should be in the CVD bag??? Did you have these on the car??? If they weren't in the bag, let me know.

1/12 scale chassis looks pretty sick, Jason. Nice.

Shims weren't in the bag in my kit (January 2005).

Will AE release carbon caster blocks ?? (If i remember, FT TC3 have carbon caster blocks)
The standard caster blocks seems to twist in high speed corner and sometimes they touch the CVD bone.

Thanks.

None came in mine either and it was bought when the kit first came out. Look and the manual and it does not list it in there. That was just one of many areas where you had to add shims to get rid of slop.
