Hey Phalen, why don't you quit startin crap on the internet and come take your whoopin like a man on July 30-31???

Our Beat the Heat Race is July 30-31 in Memphis TN. IT's electric and nitro on-road run on a pretty good size nitro track. All the fast guys are running 19t and mod since the track is a nitro type flowing layout. We're kinda reserving stock for the novice and sportsman guys.

We have racers coming from Texas to uhh... up north somewhere..lol

Schedule-
Fri evening- set up track
Sat- practice and 3 rounds of qualifying
Sat night- cookout and cold beverages (BYOB)
Sun- short practice, quick 4th round (if time permits) then single mains. Expert nitro sedan runs 30 minute A main.

Personally I doubt any non-factory racers will come whip me at my home track, but we'll have to see...

BTW- that goes for all you Associated chumps!!! Come taker your Xray whoopin like a man!!!!

Hey Tony, tell the boys to hook us up with some cool swag this year. It's looking like BTH05 will be about twice as big as it has been the last few years.
Thanks!!!

Jason

note- you guys chill. I know how you might feel from both sides, but none of this will sell cars or kits. You're just making more racers sell their TC3,4 and buy Xrays... which they were gonna do anyway after they get their Memphis Xray butt whoopin !!!! LMAO!!!!!

Happy Racing guys!!!

Default T. Deguzman....I think Jason's talking about the stock TC4 chassis..

Again with the comparisons to a car you don't have in your possesion. What makes you think that our chassis is narrowed only on the battery side?

Is this BMI's style of engineering? Using conjectures and speculation?
on the servo placement and chassis width.

So then, was the TC4 engineered to be that much overweight? It is by the numbers right (pretty easy to use empirical data to predetermine the part weight given the density of the plastic, the volume of the part, and the approximate fill density)? Was it engineered to have that much slop in the suspension components? I'm pretty sure I added an unequal amount of shims on both sides to get it even from side to side. Runs great... but lets save the engineering speaches for something besides low volume toy cars.

very true about the slop in the hinge pin/wishbones area. even the steering posts that hold the rack in place were to long and as a result left much slop.i just had a friend mic them up and cut them to size at work, its sweet now!
i found there was a lot of slop with the wheels too, like from the wheel to the hub this also required shimming or them ft hexes with the slot for the axle pin milled slightly deeper so you can nip them up tighter against the hub but not to tight as to cause friction.
anyway im totally chuffed with my tc4 even if it did require abit home tuning
(british style).

its a fast car, to fast for me as im not that good a driver as its my first year at it.
i raced my car at 6 meetings and finished 19 out of 50 in the 19t class.
i had many teething problems but im happy how things turned out
ive found that the thing that was hindering me most was my ko helios
i just didnt have a clue how to set it so i could gain more control over the car
it was way to sensitive and fast,
and it seems so much easier now its set up better,
cheers gaz

I'm totally with AE on this one.
When the TC4 first came out, some of our clients had diff problems...
We did have access to a machine shop so we fixed the gears ourselves.

However, I did tell AE about it; NOT asking for replacement or anything...

but a week later, a ton of gears lands at my door...

free replacement

AE has THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE... (well them and Novak )

Default Looking at the Team factory TC4...

I do like the idea of having aluminum camber link braces. I wouldn't want to use a nut under the CF upper deck. I still think two camber locations could be removed like the Pro 4. Looking at the design, I like how AE used the aluminum camber link as the spacer. Only thing though, they could have lowered the upper deck even more, but they bolted it higher than the top of the brace. Why not recess it and make it at least level with the top of it. I think the upper deck will be 2.5mm higher than the BMI chassis. Personally, I would have rather had it even lower, even if I could not get the diff cases out without removing the upper deck. I know it's not that important, but the RDX must have the lowest deck of any car out. It can't be a bad thing? Just nit picking.

I'm still waiting for turn over at my hobby shop so I can get some. Along with carbon arms. Bad thing, it will be a few years.

Here is my guess on the top plate, being a little bit higher I imagine it makes it a little bit easier to get at stuff and fit and also it will make the car a little bit stiffer especially longitudinally
