his ESC shouldn't be a problem unless it's defective..it's a GTX and that should be able to handle anything you throw at it...my motor gets pretty hot too and i have the duct system installed but it runs fine and strong all the way through the race....(gtx speedo and yok 19tspec)

Default BMI TC4 or FT TC4

Ok. I think I'm going to end up getting a BMI Chassis for my TC4. Ofcoruse, I can't go wrong. 1 thing though, would it be a disadvantage that I get the BMI due to the other features the FT TC4 has?

What would you get?

Gaz,

Thanks for your reply. But, did you just get the BMI just for it's looks? Did you happen to drive it yet?

I wonder how much better the BMI drives compared to a full carbon TC4...

On carpet it is a night and day difference. The BMI just feels more consistant, more "locked" in.

On asphalt I can't compare. I did not do a "back to back" comparison. So far....its awesome!

paul i cant believe you asked me if i bought the bmi because of its looks !!!!
i bought it because i want to win races!!!!
i used to run the graphite tub tc4 and i found that was a damn good car
once i found a setup that worked for me
and i guess that when i have had more time with the bmi chassis i will find good setups that will work for me and improve my laptimes
im no craig dresher, i cant build a car on a wednesday and win with it the following weekend!!
i believe that time is what you need to make a chassis work for you
im very impressed with the car !
paul i think if your making good times with your graphite tub
then you will be making better times with the bmi

cheers gaz

I'm actually turning very good lap times with my current TC4. The answer I wanted to hear was exactly what you said. Thanks.

Default I would love to get a BMI if they get away from the

TC4 motor mount. BMI's TC3 motor mount was the bomb! Jason have you tested moving the motor forward using a thicker motor mount on the TC4? Just wondering. I noticed the HPI has done this with the newer Pro 4.

3700's don't fit right, they're too big. You can squeeze them in (raise the battery strap enough to fit) but that raises the CG. Definitely not a good thing. I've been told the BMI chassis will handle 3700's.

Default Paul....

I don't like it because you can't uses weights to balance the chassis. It's in the way.
