but look at the motor mount compared to the one seen at the RCX..very different.

i think the one that the team drivers are using is still a prototype one where as the one seen at RCX was well on in the production stages...not sure why the team drivers are using a different one though.

The team guys had preproduction cars. The production kit is suppose to be much better. Just what I was told.

I've come across a question.

On the BMI TC4 Chassis, you know how the ballstuds screw into the CF on the upper deck for the camber mounts? Well, on a very hard side impact the chassis braces on my Team TC4 seemed to break. Will this happen on the BMI as well?

Default WOW!

I've never broke a wing brace, ever. How did you do it? That's one for the books.

congratulations to Craig D. and Team AE for a well deserved win.
I guess theres no question that the factory team is competitive at the highest level of racing.

The cars at the race are all pre-production. The FT TC4's will have full aluminum camber link pads and standoffs, just like the one at RCX.

Hey Paul_TC4, The strength of the stock molded side braces on your TC-4 that hold the vertical ball stud is not really comparable to the Quasi-isotropic Carbon fiber thats used on all of the BMI chassis and top decks....Iv'e also cracked a couple of the stock team TC-4 vertical side mounts, as well as having them loosen up many times, especially when you do alot of tuning and switch from running no washers under the ballstud, to using one or two (giving less thread depth into the brace)....most guys I know who still run the stock TC-4 team chassis have hellicoiled this area just like many do on the B4 buggy vertical ball mounts.....with the BMI you run a locknut underneath the ballstud so there's little chance of it comming loose.....and iv'e never seen one break.........Also,on a side note, the quasi-isotropic carbon fiber that BMI uses on all of their kits is the best quality carbon fiber that is available anywhere......Because of the "major" price difference between a sheet of component grade CF, and a sheet of quasi-isotropic carbon fiber, R/C car companies are pretty much forced to use substandard component grade (layed in only two directions during it's creation) CF in their kits .......This is also one of the reasons that many switch to a BMI chassis

I probably will end up getting a BMI.

I just want more info from AE regarding the FT TC4. Price, Conversion kit, etc.?

Guess its too early.
