hey wicked I have those diff cases for my TC4 and i cannot stand them . You cannot mount the sway bars and they are dicast and made very cheap . they look cool and all but i dont like them. they are sitting in my box right now collecting dust and other dirty particles.

Yea I know what you mean by cheap looking. IN pics they look good but in person they don't even look anodized, more like paint. But either way I am going to leave them on and see hwo they do. I was running the car around today and had no problems. As for the sway bars, mine are on. Well front anyway.

I read someone had TRF Shocks on their TC4. Is this a direct fit? or do they require some modificaions to fit properly?

Smart thinking. The TRF shocks should be a direct fit, and are way smoother and easier to get right than the AE shocks. I'd say this is a common "modification" even within the AE team.
Jonas Kaerup used TRF shocks on his 2004 Euros winning TC3.

nvisible, the tamiya shocks are actually more perfect than most think. the top shock bushing will snap right into the tamiya shocks, then if you want you can either use the stock shock end cups or the tamiya ones , but make sure you measure each one to same length. mine are at 62mm all 4.

TC4 Bone=3.1g
IRS Big Dawg Bone=3.0g
TC3 Bone=2.3g
HPI Pro4 Bone=2.4g

These are with the standard steel drive pin.. take off about .1~2 grams if using a IRS pin cushon.

Well I just got my TC4 tonight. I must say that I'm not all the impressed with the freeness of the car. Any tips to free this thing up? I know that they will need to be worn in a bit, but I expect it to be a bit smoother.

You do need to shim it,make sure everything is free in the drive train and not binding. It does take a bit but it's worth it.
