I can't imagine doing this - we used to take the swing-rack from the NTC3 and put IT into the TC3 - now the TC4 rack is very similar to the NTC3 rack. . . why would you want to move backwards?

the tc3 rack gets bound up easily but does add more ackerman than the tc4 rack.the tc4 rack is a little different than the nitro rack.you need to shim the ball studs to fix this due to the steering rack placement.i offer the ability to use both steering racks on my chassis kit but i changed the location of the tc4 steering rack to be able to make more ackerman adjustments.

I had a buddy that was really good with his TC3. He liked the car really twitchy, so he put the TC3 steering in his TC4 and loved the car. I wish he still had the net and could break it down better for you. Sorry

Jason, when you add shims on the TC4 rack does it give more steering around center or more at the end ?
Thanks.

generally adding ackerman will smoothe the steering going in to the corner and make it more aggressive coming out.when you get it set just right the car will rotate extrmely well without any tire scrub.it may feel aggressive but will carry the most speed through the corner.

Thanks Jason.
I have your Xray chassis and just purchased your TC4 chassis. Now I'm waiting on your 05 Xray chassis.
You make good stuff.

Default TC3 Rack for the TC4

Can not imagine why we or anyone would want to try the TC3 rack. We went well out of our way to use the NTC3 rack in the TC3. So why would you want to put the TC3 rack in the TC4.

The steering rack in the TC4 lets you adjust your ackerman quite a bit already.

So why are people trying this?

Later,

These diff halfs are a little bit better than the stock diff halfs but they too will also wear out quite quickly...and the out drives are a bit longer than the stock halfs by 3~4mm per side..... . .just wait and see what will be released here in a week or two

Yep... I have been running a prototype for over one month without a rebuild and I must say that they are Super smooth and very durable.. including the new teflon blades
