I'm sorry, I was just kidding about the detroit locker. Kawahara does make a "limited slip diff" for the Mugen MTX-4. Kinda the same concept as what fathead explained

Cool. Is there any word on a Factory Edition TC4 yet? What changes have to be made to the TC4 to get it to run really well? Graphite parts? Anything else? I think the car is way cool and I am looking at getting a foam car and I like the price of the TC4 compared to the RDXs and XRAYs.

Take a dremel or round file and grind the edge (blend it to continue the radius) of the motor adjustment cam to get a little more rotation and add another tooth or two.

To get a TC4 up to speed on foams you will have to spend a little bit of dough. Full graphite kit and either alum or steel diffs, a swaybar kit, the 2.0 deg toe in block and some 4 deg caster blocks. I like Barry Bakers Novak race setup so far as my base.

Ask others at the track what their ratio is or gear it so it reaches top rpm at the end of the longest straight.

Default 3Racing parts!

3Racing is making tons of parts for the TC4 now,
They are quite cheap , especially the chassis conversion, but I'm not sure about the quality of their carbon fibre, I had their conversion kit for the F201 before but I can't really compare:link

The design of the arm blocks is a lot more interesting, it's not like AE's bricks
I don't know how ggod the chassis will be, I don't think they spent that much time on testing with that many parts but their braces should really help to reduce the flex.

Don't buy all the hype...

It already runs really well. Just a bunch of keyboard drivers who get wood off the chassis of the week would say different.

You DON'T NEED all the stuff being recommended. Only the steel diffs (for obvious wear purposes), stiffer springs and swaybars if you feel you need them.

Everything else can be tuned in. You can then buy your tires, cut them down and get down to the business of racing.

You'll only benefit from carbon this and alloy that, when you're a few tenths off the TQ pace laps. THEN ... MAYBE having the car "stiffer" with all the $$$ goodies will help.
