I do not currently own a TC4, but am considering buying one as a foam carpet car. Is this a good car for foam? I have heard a lot of question marks around the chassis stiffness of the TC4. Do you have to buy an after-market BMI chassis for the TC4? What other tweaks need to be done to make this car work well?

Hi guys, I am looking to get a delrin spur gear for my TC4. I run a Reedy Quad Mag 19T motor on asphalt. What tooth spur do you recommend? I'm assuming I should go with a 64 pitch. Also, what brand of spur gear should I be looking to get, and what size pinion to match? Thanks a lot for everyones help in here.

Mot guys are running around a 6.10:1 ratio with Reedy 19turns around here. That would be a 100 tooth spur and a 41 tooth pinion. You might also want to get a few smaller pinions to accomodate for smaller tracks and different driving styles. Kimbrough and PRS make good spurs and PRS would be the only pinions I would buy right now. I can't get any other pinion as quiet as I can the PRS.

Gear ratios: I suggest you ask others at the track what they are running. Since we do not know what the layout/size of the track is, it is very hard for us to hit the right ratio. You would generally want the motor to top out at the end of the longest straight.

Hope this helps

I don't think you can get the motor over far enough to get a 100/41 combo in there - at least I couldn't. I run a 96/40 and it's a tight fit, but with the motor all the way over, the mesh is just about right.

try that

if it still doesn't work

go to speedtech's site - go to the store - go to aftermarket parts - go to square page - go to associated parts
