Your description of your track sounds a bit like ours - medium grip tarmac / asphalt so we could be a bit of help to each other with set ups.
It seems like we might be able to help each other with the set ups

BTW you have a PM

i would of thought the CF shock towers from the ntc3 would/should fit as the gear cases are the same (i think)....hang on, they dont use upper turnbuckles, they use pivotballs don't they...so the shocktowers/gear cases might be different...not sure, maybe someone could confirm this.

So I presume that you beat a very wicked fast BMI Xray? Sounds like your car was dialed all weekend. Wish I could have made it. Is the setup posted the one that you ran at the Hobbyplex?
Yeah, Bill was pretty quick and kept me working to improve my times. The complete results have been posted on www.hobbyplexraceway.com. Bill has a very nice setup, he's certainly got enough equipment

My car was back in form again after a month of neglect. I must say the the setup was awesome in stock, and was pretty good in 19t. When I put the setup into Jari's mod (8x1), he was generating alot more weight transfer...bumping up to the yellow spring settled the car down and he ran some very quick times...

I ran flawlessly in stock, but managed to blow it in 19t. The heat setup made 19t a real challenge as it was 2 heats behind my stock heat (race, marshall, race).

Default PLASTIC OUTDRIVES

ThanksI have a buddy that has been having problems with his front dogbones popping out of the outdrives in very minor crashes in his TC4. First question, has anyone tried putting any type of sleeve over the outdrive to prevent this. If so what was the OD x ID and material used. Second Question, I've been told when upgrading to the Associated TC4 steel outdrives you need to buy several other parts to complete the conversion. Like bearings, d-rings, longer diff screw, ect... Is this true? If so could someone kindly post part numbers.

Thanks

You use the TC3 diff rebuild kit with the associated lightened steel outdrives. Make sure you follow the directions, as some things are now on the "other side". You can find the exploded parts diagram at www.teamassociated.com.

EDIT: I see my link is incorrect, but its easy to find.....

The picture shows the sleaves I made for that problem, I haven't had any popouts since. I run mostley stock & 19 turn. They are .374 ID and .450 OD, just turned out of 6061 aluminum.

Default gearing ??'s

I have a gearing question.
I recently acquired a next to new TC4 and I noticed in the manual that the stock spur gear is a 72 tooth 48 pitch, but the TC4 came fresh from the birds and has a 100 tooth 64 pitch spur on it.
It is setup to run 57mm foams.
Any suggestions as to where to start pinion wise.
I think the trans ratio is 2.5.
I know its hard to suggest gearing due to variables, but i'd like to at least get in the ballpark.
Do i need to know rollout to figure this ???
HELP!!!!!
Thanks

Default Square delrin outdrives

Hi guys, could you tell me if you can use the stock diff assembly with the square delrin outdrives? I thought they could be a good alternative to the AE light steel or the IRS, just wondering what assembly they use

Cheers!

I run lightened steel on the front (had lots of dogbones popping out with the plastic) and plastic outdrives on the rear.

I've never had a problem with the rear running stock and 19T
