Also, do you guys use the motor clamp spring the tighten down the motor or just use a regular screw without the clamp? I saw Barry Bakers car in the pics and it looks like he was just using regular screws. If so, what length screw shoud I use? Thanks in advance.
I run a 100X28 for stock.
Believe it or not,I ended up with 100X34 with a Reedy quad mag 19T!
I didn't have room for a bigger pinion so I will change the spur to a 96T and keep going up.

Gear ratios all depend on the track you are running. beleive it or not I am running 100x36 in my TC4 with a monster stock motor. no heat problems and my car is as fast as anything else on the track. and that is the hot setup at my track.

my track is on the small and tight side, high bite asphalt.

I gear my quad mag 100/38 with medium size tires. My chameleon even more than that. 96/38. 19t's are weird. You would think you'd have to gear them lower, but they don't run fast unless geared to the sky.

stiffer spring on the Positive side always, and I would suggest Reedy 767 brushes. Springs, Go with red on + green on -

Im not saying totally out of the loop, its just I guess all the "other guys" have their doubts about this car, and with all the adjustments I get to a point when I dont know if I should try something new or not because the car feels soo good. Lol I wish I raced on asphalt...or with rubbers at least.
