I don't know if it has been posted or not. But Kai has a chassis in the works.

I have enough belt driven cars, this makes me want to get another shaft driven. This and the BMI chassis make the TC4 look better than ever. You just got to love that Asian styling!

Thumbs up new to RC

On the pinion gears for the 17turn, I was using 18 teeth this is all new to me. the gear thats on the motor is called the pinion gear. I had just changed to a 22t 48pitch pinion gear on the 17turn motor. That gave me some more speed, how do I deturmine which pinion gear and which pitch to use on diff motors.

Sounds like good news

Will we see if for sale before the middle of the month and also is it possible for pre-orders yet

BMI Tc4 good news.

Heres some good news form Carpet testing.

Car has tremendous on -power steering. NO matter the set-up-it always steers on power. It's rotation is quite good-maybe too good right now. Need to dial some of it out. Alsmots all chnages I have done are to take away steering n one way or another-and believe me-its still got plenty.

Also-ease of working on it is far superior to the tub chassis. For exmaple-I made roll center changes all day via the lower hingepin blocks-and I never took off the top deck or diff cases to do them. I simpy loosened both sides-took out one screw and put in or took off a shim and then did the other side!! Piece of cake.

LIke Jason said-car feels noticeably different after every change-which to me means that its stiff enough to not mask set-up changes. Hes also right in saying the TC4 is brittle. Already broke an arm.

I have not found what I would call a dialed set-up on it yet-but I have also only run aboout 9 packs through it and every pack car improves. But its already consistent-easy to drive (even with all the steering) and very sensitive to set-up chnages.

48 pitch is stronger than 64 pitch, 64 gives you finer gearing adjustments and a slight increase in efficiency. You be fine sticking with 48. As for gearing, keep raising the pinion size until you are hitting top speed at the end of the longest straight. If you are topping out before then end keep going up in teeth on the pinion.
