I have made the full modification of using TC7.1 DCJ's using custom hubs from PJRacer. (Yes, those are Xray T4 Shocks)



Verify his parts list in the shapeways website. It runs as smooth as the Losi conversion.

I thought that there was at one time. Perhaps not. Maybe it was the diff with pads locked down.

Ive been running this DCJ/DCV conversion for a few months now, Its a easy low cost fit and the turning is very smooth, I also found you dont have to remove as much material on the c-hub as what was needed with the Losi DCV's conversion

When using the DCJ are you guys doing anything about the size difference in the axle pin that slots into the outdrive? It looks like there would be a lot more play with the DCJ.

Oh wait, think I read this wrong, you're talking about the pin where the hexes fit? I use new hexes (TC6) and new pins, also use the TC6 crush tubes between the bearings. The DCJ doesn't seem to have any additional play where it goes into the diff.

No, I meant where it goes in the diff. I've toyed with my TC5 axles (same pin size as TC6) interfacing with my TC3 diffs (same diffs as TC4) and there's definitely more play.

The attached picture is a different hub design I was working on but it shows how much play you have in the out-drive.
