Team Associated TC4
That means that a 55 tooth 48 pitch spur should work with a 42 teeth pinion for approx. the same fdr. It appears that I may get the range that I am looking for with a 55 tooth spur...

Also, you can use double sided tape to just tape the battery in. It's a bit inconvenient but it's the best way I found to keep things from sliding around.

Now all we need are shock towers that will accommodate 50mm shocks for the DC4.

I have made some, just working in bringing the weight down without losing stiffness. Watch this space.

I'm running a stock Tc4 (carbon tub chassis) with Tc7 shocks, Reedy Zapper 4600, Ko Servo, Reedy 25.5, Speed6 Lw & Reedy 1000z esc and mine weights 1351g. Can you send me pics of your towers please. I'm only a few tenths off of the track record. I run up front all the time with the car, it's really a fun and easy car to drive.

We are having a 25.5Tc championship race this Saturday here in Texas($250 cash pay out). We'll see how I do. Hope for top 3.

Someone could 3D print the mount for the carbon tower as that would still be needed and necessary.

Whay weight is yours now?

My concern isnt keeping the car weight down. When you create low profile shock towers you need to make them as lite as possible because having a lot of weight up high defeats the purpose, hence the need to get the weight down on the shock tower.
Im thinking, instead of creating low profile shocks, ill create low profile shock mounts and then I can just cut off a bit from the bottom of the CF shocks to drop them lower on my new mounts.
This means less plastic on the shock mount and less CF on the Shocks
Great idea. The mounts need to be around 6 to 7mm lower to make the Tc7.1 shocks a perfect fit.

I recon the plan will work well with the FTTC4 mounts. If I do it for the DC4 shock mounts the camber mount positions will be too low so you will have to use the modified plastic pieces for the camber links.
I don't see that as a problem as I like the plastic mounts

wow, I just got an infraction for my motor mount. I thought I was helping out people on here because it was no longer possible to get one.

The only problem I see is that simply lowering the tower on a vertical plane will change the geometry of the shock mounting as the tower holes will not be in the correct location. I think the tower mounting holes need to move at an angle down AND outward, not simply down. Only other choice would be to switch holes once the tower is lowered to accommodate. Is this a big deal....?
