Rick,
Are you still running 1/12 down there??? Make sure you have a carpet car ready!!!!
Wayne,
Thanks to Jason I was able to race the BMI car again today. I ran the tubes and the car was.............different. I had some fast laps but I was really inconsistant, (moreso than usual). I'll work on some things and give the tubes another chance this coming weekend. Touring is on the back burner for now while I work on 1/12th. I'm looking forward to coming up and racing on 'the rug'. I just acquired another BMI 1/12th that's sitting in a box waiting for Cleveland!!!!

See ya',
Rick

Following much contemplation over last week's dismal performance I decided to abort the tube setup, totally rebuid the car fresh and go back to the beginning with the damper discs. I started the day with 100wt. shock oil on the discs and batteries all the way back but the car was a little pushy in morning practice so I went to Corally medium,(red), damper syrup on the discs and gradually moved the batteries forwad each run as traction came up. In the Main I had my best run to date with the car and very consistant lap times.

hey rick,

glad to hear you did so well buddy.
when i ran at that track ,i would run the .075 t-plate and i would run between 1000-3000wt 1/8th scale diff oil in the washers depending on the traction.i would start at 1000 in the morning and gradually change it throughout the day as the track temp came up.i tried the corally red and it worked nice but i just felt it was just a hare too thick.if you need some oils let me know,i have some in my pit box i can send down to you buddy. you will be on top in no time buddy

Thanks Jason,
I'm going to focus on the thick T-plate/damper disc setup so I'm ordering the 1/8th diff oils. For this coming week I'm going to work on center shock springs and of course, more horsepower!!!

12th scale has been on the back burner for a few months as I'm in the process of saving for a full size car. However last saturday after about 6-8 weeks off, I ran again. I'd been running disks for a while before my break and was to the point where the car wouldn't go any faster; so I totally change my setup approach. Back to tubes with purple stuff in them, copper center spring(40wt), purple fronts with .018 springs, magenta rears(thanks wayne), paragon full coat frt/rear. Now how screw'd is that setup? After 6-8 weeks break; and an 'out of the arse setup', the car was running better then it had after months of running and tuning. The car ran quicker and more consistantly then it ever has, even with abused 8 month old batteries and a dead motor that hasn't been cut since I last ran it 2 month ago. I thought I had a decient base line setup figured out.... back to the drawing board.

Hi, Jason!

Are there any BMI conversion kits currently available or do you have to cut some more?
