Xrayeye...
All of the anodizers I contacted said orange was a special order color and a charge of a few grand would have to be put up for them to set up for that color and then the "lot" charge to have it done would cost more too...

John-you should plan on racing the Halloween Classic. Our track is also a ultra-unbelievably competitive 12th scale track/club. Wayne and Paul Ciccarello are stupid fast-then theres a ton more guys just nipping at there heals-well trying to anyways. If you come up after the Classic-there will probably be 4 or 5 BMI 12th scale cars running as well.

John...
The CRC number for an unanodized dampening tube is #1369, they are packaged with 1 tube only. He has anodized ones but I don't know the part number off the top of my head. You can find them on the CRC website.

I made damper tubes for my L3 - Carbon tubes with Titanium shaft. It cost me about $18 for materials but I did about 4 hours work. The tubes were carbon arrow shafts. I reamed it out to 9/64" ( I think) 3.57mm and I used 3.5mm dia 115mm long e-max turnbuckles. I cut them in half and had to cylindrically grind them a little. Works very well, the cylindrical grinding put an interesting surface finish on the shaft which makes them really hold onto the damper fluid, I did not even have to groove the shafts.

Ray - I would, but I'm getting Married in 29 days...Oct 30th, the day before Halloween!

Your track does always look unbelieveable. I wish I could attend.

Wayne - Thanks for the part #'s, I'll look them up on CRC's site.

Just give them a ring and you can pre-order either the conversion kit or the complete 1/12th kit.

Wayne,

Are you running the BMI in stock? Just wondering as the pivotball cars at my track seem to be so much better then t-bar cars for some reason.I want to get the BMI car,but want some reassurance. actually anyone can chime in here. Thanks!

Wayne:

Hi,

Thanks for getting Jason (my son aka Mini) all excited about your 1/12th scale. (ray has a part in this too) so far everyday he calls me to see if I have called Jay or Ray to see whats going on. he's been lurking here as he calls me at work to tell me who posted what.
so far this is the most he has been excited about any indoor racing. (we race Karts during the summer and race r/c during the winter) since he started Karting he has lost most of his interest in R/C. even tho he can run with Chuck L most weekends.
we look forward to running theB.M.I. 1/12th scale soon. and hopfully at Cleveland. I will introduce Mini to you there.
Ray any more thoughts on the TC3 (sorrry wayne for stealing your thread for a couple of minutes). call me on my cell around noon...I should be up then.

Thanks

Ray... Thanks, The car was fast and smooth, POWER PUSH batteries and TEAM SCREAM motors were working!!!

Racenut123... I ran the BMI car in stock over the weekend... there were many non-t-bar cars there and some t-bar cars. I've tried the non-t-bar car and couldn't drive it.

Timxlb... see you guys at Cleveland
