25.5 in a trf 5 shaft driven anyone have any gearing suggestions? i cant seem to get the speed outta her?

You want to be around 4.2 to 3.8 final drive. So I would start with 96 spur and 44 pinion.

bad news cant even come close to that gearing...not enough room unless i dremel out the motor mount... anyone elses have any suggestions?

Im sorry I was just thinking that a good machinist could make some money offerring aftermarket VTA motor mounts for some of these cars.

That's a Tamiya EVO 5 right ?? Doesn't it use around a 96t spur gear ?? If so, you could go smaller spur. Maybe 70-75 would help ??

its the kyosho tf 5...i went down to a 81 and still not luck if i go in the 70s i have to start with at least a 50ish pinion to get the mesh rite...

Woops, sorry. When you said TRF..it threw me off. TRF is the standard designation for most Tamiya high performance cars including the TRF Evo 5. Can't help with the Kyosho though. Never seen one.

Sorry, the gearing of 3.8 - 4.2 posted is the correct range. So you will have to fire up the dremel to continue to use this car in VTA and get the pace out of it.
