Default BL Installation

Anyone have any experience installing and/or running a BL system in a Rev4.5? I looked a bit for pictures on this thread but didn't see any. Wondering if there are any issues fitting the motor and wires into the pod (or anywhere else). If it matters, I'm envisioning using the Novak GTB Spread Spectrum 4 Cell speedo and the Novak 10.5 motor. Thanks.

Andy

Congrats Chrissy and Bruce.... I met you at 2007 snowbirds and told you I used to live in Lunenburg from 1982 to 2000 up on flat hill... THe ROSE QUARTZ Gambrel.. You called it PINK... It's ROSE QUARTZ!!!

BTW Townsend is better than Luney-burg... The town is taxing the crap out of home owners...

Doe anyone know the best place to get parts for the 4.5? I bought a NIB 4.5 off rctech and when I went to put it together one of the screw holes for the rear pod non motor mount side had tap broke off in it(it was still in factory bags) I called Bruce and got a call back that very day but was not at my phone.I e mailed him as he requested and have called several times nothing yet (Been about a week) I want to get the part so I can get it together and race it. Thanks

The 4.5 uses IRS conversion motor plates, you can get a set directly from IRS.

Did you try to drill the screw out of the pod?

Anybody have any tips on getting in touch with Speedmerchant? We've been trying to restock parts for the Rev 4 and 4.5 but so far haven't been able to reach them by email or phone after months of trying.

I'm ready to dispatch carrier pigeons, but I just don't know where to point them.

I have a 6 week old myself.I bought speedmerchant because I heard they were the best but If you can not get some support or parts then the only thing it will be best at is collecting dust.
