Default steering but no motor power

hey guys i just installed and soldered a tekin fx esc for my f104 pro .....after i conected everything i got battery power and i got steering but no motor power and ive triple checked my connections .....any ideas on what the problem might be.......i also was calibrating my esc anf the manual said hold down mode button for 3 seconds and i should hear some beeps and i aint hearing nothing.

the picture is showing that i need to connect my positive motor cable to the positive battery cable is that so

If it's not connected that way now....Just how IS it connected ?

What voltage are you using ? 3.7v/7.4v .
Is there any lights on the speedo ?

hey guys i figured it out thanks ... u see my old futaba esc had too seperate posts for + and - i guess thats because i was running reverse so it was my first time running a non reverse esc and i now know thats how u wire it with the + motor and + battery soldered on the same post...... running good now
