I am looking for someone that can help me understand what the PROGRAM CARD is for. Obviously it is used for programming but why would i need to program anything.

If you want to turn off reverse, has start power (hi,med, low), reverse (hi,med, low, off), drag brake settings, battery select. It eliminates the common 1 button set-up with the flashing lights. Works good though. Easy and quick.

You may not need to program anything, the defaults are set to cover most situations.
Drop it in the car, plug it in, hold the set button, turn tx and it on, release set button, press set button while throttle is neutral, hold full throttle and press set button, hold full reverse press set button, and your done with all you need to do.
If you want to change the timing, lipo cutoff, punch etc. then the program card makes it very easy to set them.
