XXX-S Bill,
Is the batt plate hinged onto the chassis?

I'm not understanding this battery mount design. It seems like those screws are going to strip out constantly with the use they are going to get. I wish they would've just went with the standard clips.

Hi Cardboard,

Too bad the several posted pictures haven't show you the door. The JRXS design won't support standard clips; unless, they get really creative.

I'm with you on this point about direct soldering; but, I didn't look at that part of the chassis enough to determine if the round tube connectors would work.
have you seen how some people solder a battery bar, then bend it over the top of the cell and solder the round tube connector to that.

maybe that will work?

Hi Tom,

What you are describing is what I currently do; however, this won't work on the new JRXS chassis. The battery is sandwiched between the two decks with no potential of having a battery bar go anywhere above the pack.

Thanks for your thoughts.

The solution would be to use the bent battery bar over the top of the cells with the pole connector soldered to this tab ..horizontally.

You can still use the pole connector they will give access from the side of the pack.

No worries Mr Harshness,/

Heres anothe car that is similar in concept as far as chassis layout (batts centers motor in front) EVO2 car

No it isn't hinged. It is a separate piece. I believe it had a molded offset lip that catches the back of the battery opening in the bottom deck and then is affixed with two screws at the front.

Default Go to Team Losi JRXS string

We are now beyond rumors about Losi's new car.

Can we all agree to end this string and go to the newer string named "Team Losi JRXS" to continue our thoughts? The two strings are getting pretty redundant.
