Question for you guys and girls,
Today I hooked up my Twister 2.2 (I know it's the same as a VFS-1) and I know for a fact all my wires were ran right and correctly. I doubled checked everything before I solder the pack in. However when I soldered the pack in and went to lay the soldering iron back in its hold, I had a large boom go off and my entire capacitor exploded and shoot out some nasty yellow crap (silicon possible?) Any ideas why the capacitor exploded? Everything was wired correctly, and I'm not sure why it would have blown. I did have all my electrics plugged in, I hope they still work. Since the capacitor blow, what are the chances that the speed control is still operational? I would hate to go out and by another one this week. If this helps, I haven't ran this speed controller in nearly 3-4 months. It shouldn't matter about the time length but could something play a role in that? My work area is in the basement, and sometimes I get a lot of moisture around that area. Any ideas? Should it be sent back to KO again? Anyone else have problems blowing capacitors at all?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks-

Reversed polarity applied to the capacitor will cause it to do what you experienced.

Here are a couple pics. The first shows all the stuff (other than the CD) that comes in the package. Leads for servos, esc's, and lord knows what else.
The second pic is of the magic bit. Go ahead and bodge one of THOSE together. It is USB on one end and servo cable (pin end) at the other. Even if you could, who'd spend the time dilly-farting around when it's been nicely collected in a package. Unless you really like dilly-farting...I've been known to do so if the project interested me. Me, for the $75 bucks or whatever it was I didn't have to think twice.

Hi Guy's
Please help me, I normally race modified but next weekend a group of us are running Silver can 540.
I need a full program file for a outdoor, tight, twisty, bumpy, low grip track that is asphalt and has 2 straight's that are 35 metres long.
Can some one please post a good starting point listing all numbers.
I am using a Ko Twister 2.2.
Thanks guys

stage 17: 12
stage 18: 14
keep increasing it by skipping every other stage until you get to stage 32.
set your throttle response to "2" or "1", depending on your driving style. turn off your current limiter and use the lowest possible voltage cutoff (unless your running spektrum).
you shouldnt be letting off throttle that much since its 540. you'll need plenty of corner speed.

Thanks so much Hebiki
Can you please tell what you mean by skipping
Quote
first 16 stages. set it at 10.
stage 17: 12
stage 18: 14
keep increasing it by skipping every other stage until you get to stage 32.
I always used the set ups from KO, but when you say skipping do you mean 14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30,32 Because this will only take it to stage 27
Sorry if I sound like a idiot,
Please can you advice

For the Twister 2.2 you probably don't want to turn on the TH Response. This is turning "on" the drag brake feature for this model and the Comp 2.
I think Hebiki means that you want to end your last throttle step (32) at frequency 32. Yeah, Hebiki need to go back and do the math. j/k But I hope that you kind of get what he is saying. You will need to get it to end up there and his suggestion would be a great starting point.

what would happen if the steps were at 10, near the end of the throttle?
