LRP ICS Problem

Hi All,

I am having a problem with one of my ESC's at the moment, and I am hoping one of you can shed some light :)

The ESC is an LRP ICS, I am unsure how old it is exactly as I got it as part of a swap with some other RC gear.

I have just installed it into my new Losi, and havent previously tried the ESC, however the previous owner said it worked fine (worth about as much as a pinch of salt though).

What the ESC is doing is when putting it into setup mode, it blinks correctly as it should, and I go through the pushing full throttle then the full brake procedures, and then press the setup button once again to end the setup.

The ESC then blinks the setup light, and beeps when the light blinks. Nothing happens if i press the throttle at this point. I press the setup button once again, the beeping stops, but the light keeps flashing. Press the setup again, and it stops blinking. Pulling the throttle acts asif i am pushing the brakes, and pushing the brakes is asif I was pulling the throttle. This is right after doing the setup, and the transmitter has not had any settings changed, servo's are not set to reverse.

Motor and battery are both hard wired, red to + and black to - on the cells, yellow to + blue to - on the motor.

Are there any known problems with these esc's, do they need to be programmed in reverse order perhaps? The only instructions I have were from a newer LRP speedy, an LRP Sprinter.

Cheers

Any help appreciated :)

Can't think of anything obvious, but i would suggest that you get hold of some instructions just to check that you are setting it correctly. You may not be a ble to download the ics instructions, but i would think that you would be able to get some for either the V6 or V7.1. They would both be the same as the ICS. You should be able to get these downloaded from the main LRP site.

LRP set-up goes like this:

Hold set-up button

when it starts flashing release the button.

Pull full throttle and push the button.

push full brake and push the button.

let throttle at neutral and push the button.....

Bam your done....
