Martin keep us updated on how the serpents are doing.
I don't know how much time you have had outdoors or the traction level up north at norcal, but down south where it is hotter and slippery I have been running the 2.0 chassis and flex topdeck.

Will do. I wish I had a 2.0mm chassis to test. So far, still trying different setups to see what works for s411 on asphalt.

When running a thicker oil the rear diff, the diff does not rotate as easily and thus resist the car from rotating off power, but when you get on power a thicker oil will help give you more steering.

Default reedy race update

So we just finished our last day of practice and for the invite class we ran two mock races in the last 2 rounds. I managed to narrow margin win over Kevin Hebert and Alexander Hagberg in the first mock race. In the second race I worked my way up to second, but made a costly mistake with pressure from Jilles G. The car is working well and is competitive with the setup I put on it today. This is the best race of the year for me, running against all the top drivers....such good fun. Ronald V is the man to beat this weekend. Marc R seemed to find some more speed today, but still not at the pace of Ronald.

I start toward the back of the grid in my first couple of races, so hopefully I can keep out of trouble and make up some spots during the race.

Cheers.

Default reedy race update

Well, I am off to a terrible start at the reedy race. The car is much better than my results. I seem to be making terrible concentration errors causing one dnf in round 2 and a pole position to a 6th place finish in round 3. Just terrible driving by me. The first round my setup was wrong for the extremely low grip and ended up 5th. So just not at all what the car is capable of.

Hopefully I get my act together for the next 5 rounds and can show what the serpent can do.

Cheers.

does anyone know if you buy the 2.25mm chassis # 401444, does it come the with the battery cutouts on the side of the chassis or is it smooth? this is supposed to be the part # for the te chassis which is smooth but from all the pictures i've seen it has the cutouts.
