thats what im saying,
the stock part is most likely the 3 degree block and when he built it he chose to install the optional 3.5mm. its just my guess.

hi i drive an xray2011 but i will change car soon and i'm thinking to go for a serpent. can someone tell me how the 411 compare with the xray

no question, serpent
first off they are both very good cars. i have had a xray t3'11 and recently switched to the 411 this season. the serpent is way easier to drive, but its also easier to be consistent with it. the 411's parts are cheaper but still very good quality. i really like the one piece shock body's on the serpent. overall the serpent is a much better car in my opinion. i wouldnt trade my roller for a ready to go xray. a friend of mine runs the t3'11/12 (it has 2012 chassis and other 2012 parts) and we are the two fastest guys at the track. his xray has not beat my serpent yet. close, but no cigar. buy the serpent, you'll be happy with it.

I'm fairly new to gear diffs, so wanting to know what diff setup would suit a low to med grip asphalt track with a 5.0 motor?
At the moment I have been running 2 gear with 1600 wt oil.
Any one else have problems with the sway bar mounts not smooth enough? I ended up using tammy balls and ball cups to smooth up the sway bar movement.

Calm down turbo. I should have taken the pics with my crappy phone camera so you cant enjoy the high res of Panasonic Lumix
I am using the gunmetal 3.5 block because the Le orange ones are not available yet. I have also opted for the Serpent alu lay shaft holders which are also not available in Le orange. If you look really closely too you might see that I have used Xray(shock horror) flat spot pins in the drive shafts.. There is a bit of play in the steering but nothing I would consider to be a concern so I am not going to bother trying to un-slop it until i've given the car a dozen shake down runs and I rebuild again.
As said before the only dramas i had in this build were the front right arm which needed to be heavily reamed(not sure if this is because i am using the 3/2 toe blocks in front) and the sway bars are a bit stiff but after reading The Stiles tips on Petite I am going to switch to using the larger sway bar guides on my 1.6/1.4 bars. I will switch to the hard arms eventually and hoping these don't cause me any binding issues in the front.
On another note I cant fit in my Revtech 6000mah packs under the rear top deck without causing tweak when flexed Looks like im going back to Thunderpower

got a mail from serpent
"Thanks for the email.
the oneway axle has not been made yet as demand was so low. We plan for start 2012.
A new steeringplate will come which allows more ackermann changes. januari 2012.
Best regards,
Ronald Baar"

9 hours to finish to this piont. Still need either a R10 Pro or a V3 HW to complete then i will shorten up more wiring etc. If you take out the speedy wiring and the long personal lead its actually pretty good so far. Now I just have to wait a week till our next club day to run
