and there any other parts needed with the kit to get it to comp spec, i aways run on asphalt never carpet.

Personally I don't know.. but try giving team twister hobbies a call and see if they can sell you a kit with a swapped lower deck (2.5out/2.25in). I am niw running the 2mm and.it works good. It is also nice a strong as it is solid without huge cut outs for flex. Mine has survived a head on with a timber board no problems.

Hi Rhys,

My suggestion would be to get a set of Medium and Hard arms, with Hard C hubs, knuckles and uprights. A spare gear diff will be good too.

The V2 kit is quite good, but only comes with the 2.5mm chassis. If there is someone willing to do a swap when you buy a kit, do it... 2.25mm will be mint.

The car is good. No dramas, no fuss, always on the ball.

Wel i have tested my S411 and i must say, it has way more
steering then my xray T3!!
The standard arms work good on low grip tracks but my car was a little bit
oversteered.
This is a really awesome car and i have the feeling i can even get more perfomance out of the S411!!

What is the differance between the v1 kit and v2 kit?

Most modern cars have more steering than a T3 with the exception of the TC6 and Photon which share the same old school suspension as an xray.

What differences in the suspension geometry/design does the Serpent, and the other cars you are referring to, have over the T3/TC6/Photon?

There are many differances in the new batch of kits. The chassis is different to the standard one (narrower again, 2.25mm) and car has medium plastics throughout. There are a few other small bits and pieces also, the driveshafts have serpent 46mm etched into them now. Really like this car, but never have I had so many issues building a car with faulty parts!

I had a few shock balls and arm balls that needed to be replaced as the pin would not go through. This was annoying but an easy replacement. my other 2 issues on the other hand

My kit has come with 1 different size shock body (obviously from a 1/8) so i cant put any shocks on the car and will have to buy a replacement, another delay. The other issue I have is that the rear of the car has a big bind in the drivetrain. Tried different belts, essentric's, whole diff and bearing and it still exists. The belt has a bigh/low spot no matter what i try, the essentric's are visibly wobbling in the bulkheads as the drivetrain rotates. Im going to try and fit a prototype chassis that has been sent to me and see if that fixes the issue, but im not liking my chances.

Hope Serpent get the rest of the kits right as there are way too many things wrong with mine. Not the best first impression thats for sure!
