I have had no problems.with CVD pins falling out however some have moved a little between rebuilds. I haven't bothered with "flat spotting" my pins but the trick I use is a touch of loctite on the grub screw then build the cvd "dry". Then lube with your prefernce of grease. When you rebuild simply spray out with motor spray and regrease without removing the grub screw (unless the pin has moved out of center). I find this works well.

never had issues, as i have stated maybe here or else where, i use Top racing slotted pins. at $4 or so for 8 pins, will do a full rebuild later as well. red loctite, just a little on the screw. and never will you have an issue.

Clockwork racing has them. They are in Winnipeg. http://clockworkracingengines.com/co...90mm-ser400005
Nice to see a place in Canada where we can buy Serpent. I hope they sell parts! I want to try out the Hard arms and Delrin outdrives.

Had a pretty good result from the car this weekend at the FEMCA ISTC meet in Sydney. Qualified 5th but had the car going around really nicely missing out on being the fastest aussie in the last round of Qualy by only 4 tenths and only a few seconds behind Volker. Finals got rained out so no chance to move up but I must say I was quite happy being able to match the pace of some of Australias fastest EP guys inc Simon, Ryan, Ari and Tim. I attached the setup which I think is a slight compromise due to the lack of 6 deg c-hubs. If I had the 6 deg hubs (med or hard) I would have stood the front shocks up one hole and maintained steering with slightly more front end response.

IFMAR rules which are currently 1450g. I have recently started reducing the weight of the car and running LW bodies to further lower CG. Its got a few more screws left to go but when its done I will be able to add weight to adjust f/r bias for different tyres and account for the weight of a front gear diff at any time without effecting setup for the new 1380g rule. I think I forgot to add 10g next to motor mount but apart from that it has two full S411 weight kits on it (94g total)! I gotta say it looks funny to see 2 20g weights and 2 12g weights stacked up the middle of the car. I'll try to remember to take a pic tomorrow as its quite an unusual sight.

Pattojnr, how come you have started running the 1 cell 3.5? how different is the power delivery to the normal v3?

Cheers,
Alex.

Cheers,

the motor itself is much lighter. and i feel the power is better out of corners.
the weight was the main reason. still running 2S though. heat is not an issue.

Your brothers car was looking pretty good in stock as well. Did the set up vary much from yours to his? More consistency and he would have made the A as well. As usual the stock driving is so close and making the A takes a lot of effort.

Hey Dragonfire.
I'm gonna give your setup a crack at my local track, are you running white serpent springs front and rear? Can't read the print sorry!
Also did the car have lots of grip with this setup? & do you think the setup would be ok with the standard plastic wishbones, hubs etc and 2.5mm chassis?

Cheers...
