Hi again.

See attached file. This time in English and I also added 48 pitch pinion.

Pitty, but I can't upload it as an Excel file. If I had, you could edit or change the value of the spur or pinion by yourself, and you would automatically have had the new gearing.

If anyone has a special wish for spur, pinion or even spring, feel free to post it, and I will see, if I can put it into a new sheet.

I like it as small as possible, as I allways have it on my desk. An A4 sheet is too big for me.

Regards Bjarne

Although Billy Easton is multi-talented in RC I think he is Serpent's point man for all things offroad. For electric sedan and all things onroad, there are many others, however specifically electric sedan I think its only Scott Kimbrow in the U.S. for now.

Do any of you guys have any good tips for building the gear diff? My diff seems tight even with very thin diff lube. Going to be running carpet this weekend and I think having a tight diff might take away too much grip in the rear...

Questions??

does anyone know if serpent is going to do the xray thing and come out with a new car every 3-6 months? i've noticed most of you s411 guys are from across the globe.just wondering what it is that most of the people over here dont get about this awesome car? for the $ & quality this seems to be the car to have.

Default Carpet Setup

Hi All

Just bought my S411 and built it - lovely kit. Ran it for the first time on Thursday eveing straight out the box and seemed pretty good but has anyone got a rubber/carpet setup they could post/pm me to get me going a bit quicker?
On that note the drivetrain seems quite tight out of the box - does the belts need slackening off a little in people's opinion?
I'm runnning 10.5 and it just seems not to be as smooth as it could be.
Also what size spurs fit? I'm currently using an 81t 48dp spur but would prefer to get back to 64dp but need a ratio of around 8.00 FDR so maybe around the 100t spur would fit?

Cheers

Paul

If their Gas kits are anything to go by, they will release an updated kit yearly.
this will not be a new design, it wont be alot of parts that wont fit the original chassis, but what they will do is add to the kit certain upgrades they feel will make a better all round kit. it wont matter to most, as we try certain things and buy certain parts we feel will help the cars performance. So there wont be a need to worry about this. so far the future is very strong for the 411, and the performance ........ Very good. Durability.......... awesome.

i run Mod , 3.5T since the day i built my car. i can say, i have the original belts on my car still. they are still very good.
