thanks for the info. something to look at. when i say im looking for a better balance, the car is very drivable, and it holds the race time record, but i just know it can be better.

I tried that myself, one of the 1st things I did. Makes the car very unsettled when you touch anything, especially traction rolling off corner markers.

Serpent has finally released spurgears, both 64P and 48P.
Anyone knows when it hits the onlineshops?

Default Setup for med trac asphalt

Does anyone have a solid setup they can post for med traction asphalt?
Ran the kit setup on the w/e and struggled to stop the car from spinning out on power through corners. The car is fast out of the box, but is hard to drive. (for my skill level at least)
I've tried heavier diff oil and longer wheel base to start with, any other suggestions?? Any help would be great...
Cheers

Stand the rear shocks up 1 hole on tower. Use white rear spring, orange in front. Go to 45 losi shock oil in front 40 in back. I think 50/45 would even be better, but havent tried yet.

Make sure you are on the right tire. <-very important. S411 doesnt like cheap tires

Thanks mate, I'll be standing my shocks up for my next run, I'm also running the 2.5 mm chassis, would the 2mm chassis give more grip?
Anyone know what HPI springs are close to serpent orange and white?
Cheers..

2mm chassi wii generate more flex and give you better grip if your running mod put the hard parts on it settles the car down

Must use hard plastic parts!! I run mod with the stock arm the car keep spinning out. With the hard parts the car is way more stable. Especially at the high speed sections.

Default spin out (on power)

hi guys
from mine finding, i use front spring (blue) and rear (pink) and is very stable.
if the car tends to flex, it will lose much traction. this is for low traction track.
if is to apply to high grip track, i would say steering not enough to go through a turn.
correct me if i am wrong on the finding
thks cheers
happing racing

I wouldn't put it like that... I find that more flex allows each end to develop more grip at each end than the setup would allow from a stiff chassis. This is a good way to get a more driveable car if you are having problems with handling however more rear grip also means more understeer (and thus less potential for speed). As far as flex is concerned I only ever remove one screw from my top deck if I want more flex and that is the single screw above the motor mount. I find the others less effective for tuning. The 2.25mm and 2.0mm lower decks should also offer better traction with less understeer effect however it is a big change to go back if it doesn't help.
