I asked the same question 2 pages ago Looks like the Xray might be close, but I think I will go with some smaller spur gears instead of fiddling with pulleys.

Unless the T4 has different gears, xray gears will not fit. Tried last year and they are too wide to fit in the bulkheads. Too much to even machine some off.

So. had my stock car out last night and quite surprised how it handled the 12th scale track.

setup "couldnt save pdf, sorry!"

put a pack and a bit worth of practice on the car between 12th scale heats and the car was quite easy to drive considering the confines of the track. i expected it to slide around more than it did. actually was very direct and responsive which definitely turned a few heads walking by the track.
average amain 12th scale laptimes were 9.5-9.7 in 17.5 boost and i was able to pull 10.6-11.1 with old OLD rubber tires. quite happy so far. able to keep up to the mid heat 12th scale drivers which is kinda cool.

i tried the stock rotor with a typcial 3.8-4.0 fdr but i think there was too much slowing down on this track and it came off north of 160 that way.
swapped to the 12.3x24.5 rotor and a 4.2 ratio and it seemed to go a lot better. smoother power and better speed overall. probably leave that rotor in there depending on the layout at the winspear.

now have to figure out the mod car... probably similar setup with a little more droop and less arb.
any suggestions?

Last practice I tried the flex top deck vs standard 2 mm (401374) and my car worked better with the standard top deck. Grip conditions was low-medium. The car felt too safe with the flex top deck, maybe it´s better when the grip is really high. I drive modified on carpet.

Its when you cut the last brace on the rear of the top deck. Its the brace with the hole that secures to the v1 motor mount. If you take your top deck and cut right through that brace you will notice it really makes the car a lot more consistent. Hope this helps

Thanks for the quick reply.

So are you saying there is no screw connecting the top deck to the motor mount, and you cut out that middle section?

A picture would be most helpful

Ok so the v2 motor mount is the only way I run my car. If u run the v2 motor mount the correct way there is no reason for the rear brace what so ever. Some people run the v2/v1 which is y some still run the full top deck. I find the car really inconsistent with the top deck not cut. But here are the pics.

Is one motor mount better than the other? looks like my TE car has a two peice motor mount where the mod car has a one peice mount. both of the top decks look the sam e thickness but the te car has cutouts in the front of the top deck.

Ok it's all based on preference of how u want the car to feel. I believe we all want a consistent car and through much testing I have found the 1 piece motor mount and a cut 2mm standard top deck to be the best. On your TE the top deck you have is a 2mm flex that's y more carbon is cut away. The 2 mm standard is on your other car.

so should i leave the flex deck on the te car for stock, and the one peice motor mount on the mod car? i don't have a lot of tracktime with touring cars sadly =(
the stock car felt pretty good when i had it out, just want some more out of the mod car if i can.
