The LE includes the tool set, extra gear diff, C/F lipo holders, and number of kit engraved on bottom. Besides these items and orange anodizing on the LE kit they're the same car. Yes, both include a front spool.

Right now I have an LE and the standard edition. I think I like the looks of the standard edition better, so I might switch to running two standard editions. I do however think the LE is fantastic deal, with having the tools and the extra gear diff.

I like the look of the standard kit also, It looks stealth and neat with its gun metallic coloring

I love the deep Orange anodizing of the LE kit, except when people accuse me of running an Xray

I am reading through this thread to follow the progression and confirm my decission to pick the serpent as my next TC. I have a couple questions first and more importantly do the cvd's and or the djc's use blades to protect the outdrives? Less important how quiet is the 411 in compaarison to other TC's
Oh how about N.A parts availability

The car uses blades in the rear, regular pin in the front. Car seems just as quiet as any other belt car out there. Amain and Stormers are two places that I know of in the states that carry parts, there may be others but I've personally ordered from those two.

If you opt to use a front gear diff you can them use the blades, you find the car very durable also

Thanks guys,
You would think that the spool would use the blades.
Are you finding excessive wear in the outdrives of the spool?

None or very low wear.

The outdrives are made of steel. The outdrives are open to get the weight as low as possible. I've put a shrinking foil above the outdrives. As they now are closed, I can fill in some black grease in the slots. It will not fly out. I do every second or third raceday a maintenance of the outdrives. I still use the first foil and outdrives.

We race modified on carpets and after 5 month the outdrives are as good as new ones.

Don't use the delrin outdrives (option parts) for carpet racing. They aren't designed for it / not durable enough. You can use them on tarmac tracks outside.

Default MOTOR SCREW MOD

I TRIED THE MOD FOR THE MOTOR SCREW ON THE TOP DECK.I USED A BUTTON HEAD THAT WAS LONG AND WOULD ALLOW BOTTOMING OUT IN THE HOLE. I GROUND THE SCREW SO THAT IT HAD JUST ENOUGH HEIGHT STICKING OUT OF THE TOP DECK TO ALLOW A RUBBER ORING FROM A SHOCK. I ONLY USED ONE O-RING IN BETWEEN THE HEAD OF THE SCREW AND THE TOP DECK. WOW.
I NOTICED A TON OF EXTRA TRACTION. JUST WITH THAT SIMPLE MOD. VERY HAPPY.
