The car wears pretty good I have used a a set of belts, rear arms because they stripped one side due to a rear ender and now the rear hubs.

I'm keen to try the alloy rear hubs to see if they support the bearings better, Im having trouble finding the V2 steering in stock does anyone know of a shop who has it online

Thanks

Hi.

The first batch of hard rear uprights from Serpent had this problem. I ordered 2 sets, but I got 2 new sets, as both first sets had the same issue: the bearings aren't sitting tight in the uprights. I still use the standard uprights, as the car works nice with them.

Allthough you can solve the problem: put a drop of ca glue on your pit board, stick a screwdriver into it and rub the screwdriver softly outside on the bearings. Let it dry and put the bearings into the uprights. This should be enough to tighten it up.

Another small issue: if you use only 2 mm shims in the uprights you have to shorten the ballstud. Otherwise you get a small dent where the bearing sits, as the ballstud is slightly too long. With 2,5 or more mm there is no problem.

I'll try the new hard uprights the coming weekend. Also I'll be testing the new flex topdeck on a second carpet track. First test wasn't so good, but changing the supension blocks to 1,5 ff and fr it seems to work fine.

With the flex topdeck and DJC axles you have a car, which has a huge amount of steering and can rotate very quickly. We have no problem with the rear end getting loose. We still use the suspensions blocks 0 rf and 3 rr.

Re: V2 steering rack

I think, they aren't released yet. I know, someone already has it in his car, but 10 days ago I sat next to Marc Fischer at the DHI Cup, and in his car there was the standard rack - not the new one.

I think, you just have to wait.

Im testing currently a prototype of the v2 steering rack. You can change easily Ackermann with that rack, but currently we all used default ackermann - best settings for us on different tracks

I never asked, but I'd take pink one just to get the Ackerman adjustment for now.

Ditto.

Actually where can you get any of the orange spare parts? I read that they should be available however don't see them around.

I have an LE too and I know Serpent USA just got a bunch of spares in for the LE. Most of the arm mounts I got were orange ones. I have an orange sharpie as backup.
