Default Shock question

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket brand shock for the S411 or where i can purchase a pair of shocks (body, shaft all the fixings)?

My wonderful and ingenious 7year old boy, decided to play with one of the shocks that was sitting on a bench ready to be worked on.

Needless to say the shock lost out in the battle with the $35 dollar 9volt remote control car and the hammer he was using to fit it.

Have had a look around and cant find complete shocks, any help appreciated

150cst oil

What does it change on the car if you run the different brackets at the front like Michael Nilsson's setup, as you still adjust toe with the turnbuckles at the front

At the price that they sell the DCJ for, you'd think that they would provide something stronger than heat-shrink to secure the pin! I'll wait for version 2.

i have just taken one apart cause it didnt feel smooth, then when i re shrinked it, i double shrinked wiht some super glue between the first and second layer where the pins are. so will see how they hold up. the insert for the shaft where the pin goes through, is solid, only hole is for the pin. so not even a chance to put a grub screw in.

It changes the width. A narrow car is more responsive, a wider car doesn't traction roll as easy.

Yes. You will need a tool like the Huddy pin remover. I also suggest you heat up the drive shaft before removing pin. The pin is shrink fitted to the Shaft meaning the shaft hole is couple thousands smaller than the pin diameter. if you remove the pin without heating (therefore expanding the shaft) you may damage the shaft. then when you put the new pin in it may just fall off.

make sure you protect your hands and dont burn them.

Or you can buy a new shaft...

Does anyone know where I can purchase a s411 LE pre-order in america? I am pretty sure I want to get this car over the associated TC6, so I don't want to miss out on the limited edition one coming out! Thanks!
