mode 4 is set at 0 as I do not want any auto brake function, but I have very little brake when applied by pushing trigger forward

Well it happened again. Blinky mode, 17.5 stock timing and the speed control shuts off. Once was bearable, 2nd time in under 3 months is inexcusable. On top of that I wantched a friend of mine have 2 brand new TC Spec V2's die within 2 hours of each other. LRP has some serious issues with their V2 line of TC, Stock Spec speed controls. I am switching to Orion after I get this one back from repair, I will demand it be a new one, and will not spend the money to ship it to AE. They can pick up the tab this time.

Ok, I am running a LRP x12 17.5 with 1S rotor, LRP SXX V2, and new 65c 1S Lipo (1/12th CRC car) and after 2 minutes it seems the lipo is starting to dump and the power is just not there. I have tried different lipos and it did not really help. Motor is coming off at 138 after 6 minutes and we are running in blinky mode. Do you have to gear this setup in a different temp range to get better run times? Any suggestions would be great.

What is your roll.
What size track, and type of surface
Which timing insert ?

It is helpful to give more info when asking these questions.
Otherwise you will receive random answers.

In general you don't gear blinky 12th for temp, it's all about the best avg laps for 8 mins.
The best 8 min run time, will always be the best setup, regardless of the motor temp.

What's a good C rating battery to use for this speed control, it's for a 1s 17.5 blinky 12th scale. wil a 28c be just fine or do I have to go to a higher rating?

SXX v2. What is the preffered or correct way for installing a RX pack for 1/12th 1s setup as far as wiring it in. Wire direct to RX and pull the red wire out of the ESC lead or wire into switch like a tekin? Thanks

No need for RX pack, the sxxV2 works with 1s.

Here is the LRP manual info

Look for AutoCell System 2 & TwinBEC (Mode.1) for how they suggest to work with pack

Can anyone comment on the differences between the stock black capacitor and the silver "works team" capacitor(s)?

I have the Stock Spec w/ the latest firmware... will be using it in 17.5 blinky sedan.

I was wondering the same thing. Is there any advantage to running the optional capacitors?

Running the Works capacitor in a class that you run mostly full throttle will not make a noticeable difference. I do like that they are easier to mount in tight areas.

THANK YOU
