Sent files to further guys which requested them by email.
Btw, don't there is no must to update! Original release v4.2 works absolutely flawless as well, the difference on v4.4 are the ramp profiles under Mode3 which make motors run a lot cooler. All the rest is identical in regards of performance & reliability.

Noob Question
Hey Guys, I have a noob question so please bare with me. I'm getting back into cars after 10 years and am new to electric.
I bought a SXX competition v2 new about three weeks ago with recomendation from Scott Brown at Tacoma RC Raceway. The plan is to run a Viper 13.5t on the new TLR-22.
Does this update you are referencing apply to my esc too? I'm not sure what the differences are between the StockSpec and Competition models.

If you dont have the USB I'd get one anyway since LRP is always trying to better their products. Always nice to have the latest and greatest

This is for only the stock speedos. Your is the modified versio which is good also for off road.

when you say "get one" ?
I assume you mean a new Lrp V2.1 ESC ...
My issues are with the fact I had to replace 2 X12 motors from another company to fix the problem with my original 2 V2 ESC's with out the USB.. ....
I'v seen Lrp perform a fix for their team driver's just a while ago, which was replace the original V2 Esc with the V2.1 ...
Only then these Lrp driver's X12 motors performed as intended .......

I'm assuming you have the tc or comp v2 since those are the only ones available in the time frame you mentioned. When I say get the USB im talking about the device that plugs into the speedo and computer. All of those speedos are USB updateable but you have to use mod type software, v1.5

hacker,
Not sure if you have read the instructions for the SXX SS V2, but Mode 2 (Torque/feel) and Mode 3 (Boost) are fully adjustable.
I used this ESc connected to a X-12 and X-11 21.5 LRP motor last weekend to win the AARCMCC ACT Titles. Way easier to tune than the others. i could concentrate on car setup and driving instead of chasing ESC setup all weekend.
I had no cogging issues and temps were 67C after six minute races, with no car fade. I used the X-11 for most of the weekend, as I believe it is a better motor than the X-12 and less resistant to fading. I also used FW 4.2 which is what it comes with and have just had Reto E-mail 4.4. I ran a 50mm rollout and approx 4 FDR on a MI4 LP, open settings.
Just my two pennies worth.
Calvin.

Not sure what was run in 21.5 that weekend, but I know that there were Tekin's with X-11 motors, possibly a couple of other configurations.
This was the first weekend that I had used the ESc and motors, so I may have not had the optimum gearing myself.
I have read the HW with 119 is fast, will see at my next outing. Hopefully by then I will have some new information myself. I have found running for six minutes makes a difference to the temps as well as the ambient temp.
For a tighter track I will be lowering my FDR and adjusting boost and feel, so it should be faster and possibly hotter.
Later,
Calvin.

HW is fast, I used one last night and it was faster than anything out there. Unfortunately had a problem today, but was still able to compare my GM that I normally run to a friends HW, and he had so much top end, it was like he was running 17.5 in 21.5
anyway good luck with it, it's still on my shopping list as there is nothing that feels and stops like an lrp, however not many people have them yet so will wait until we have more feedback.
