I don't think it is available in NORTH AMERICA yet, you can pre-order now at tower, stromer, amain they list Mar as the eta. Or you can oder from hong kong online store like crcmart, rc-mushroom but the warranty is a concern though. If something happen you need to send it back to h.k then they send it to probably germany to have it fixed. I had my ko vfs-1 fixed that way . ( i had very impressive, prompt service from rc-mushroom ),If order from overseas depends on the situation and manufacturer ,sometimes it takes a long long time.(few months). that's why I am waiting for it to arrive at state side .

Well, they were available in North America. I got mine from Stormer a couple of days ago. They must have sold out the same day.

(And I must say, I mounted it up in my 1/12th scale with an X-12 13.5 and pulled the trigger...oh yea! Not exactly the most scientific test, but it's got that jerk-sideways-rattle-the-bearing-holders-shriek of a Tekin. Except, in four simple settings. And no rx pack.)

I was lucky enough to get one early since I had the ill-fated v1. It's an awesome ESC. Dare I say LRP is back?

Default my experience so far

I have 2 of these SXX stock .One came from usa as a warrenty replacement and bought the second in the uk.

The first one has been upgraded to the 4.4 version ,this was done by a team driver as it is not yet available as a down load yet.
Im running this in a WGT 1s lipo and X12 10.5 motor with the 1s rotor upgrade. This combination is awsome , my car is fast punchy and so smooth power transfer.
Settings are 0,5,11,0 3 dot insert and rollout of 41.7 mm.

My second Esc was fitted to a 1/12th with standard v4.2 and X12 10.5 std rotor.Car was very fast for 8 mins and very aggressive. After 8 mins it stopped working.I had it replaced in 3 days.
Replacement has v4.3 loaded, trying it with same motor as WGT in my 1/12th tonight with same settings etc.
The new software seems to make power very smooth and linear, taking out all the aggression, no sign of the boost kicking in just a smooth power curve.Motor temps are also amazing, in the WGT i ran for 8 min races and the hottest the motor got was 57c.
So my experience so far, excluding the hiccup .this is as good as it gets .LRP have got it right this time.Just need the software available for down load.

I have also fitted 16 gauge wire, not a good idea, Wires become very hot and i mean hot.As soon as i can get some 14 gauge will be changing it.

I was able to purchase one when Stormer briefly had them in stock.

But still have not been able to procure the USB update device AND still need LRP to get the updates available on their website.

Hope hardware and software updates are available SOON!

The part is out there in various systems, but I haven't seen it in stock yet. Hopefully soon, I need one too.

4.4 was quite a bit different than the 4.2 the ESC came with. It would be nice if it were available soon so people don't spend too much time figuring out 4.2 if that's not the answer.

This information is to help those that will venture into the true stock racing in 1/12 scale without the boost parameters in affect. Use the SXX Stock Spec in blinky mode with the LRP X-12 17.5 motor. The motor was set to 4 dot timing. The rollout was 3.65 inches (55/80). Car was very good so lap times were such that I was surprised. The boosted boys were not able to match the 8 minute run and the difference in fastest lap was .009 seconds. Tried 56/80 and the car was not able to match the laps or the final time of the 55/80 run. Top speed of the car was similar to the old brushed motor days of 27 turn, best I can remember. Tire wear for BSR White rear tires was .015 inches for 4 runs. Acceleration was smooth, linear. Very nice to drive, so I think it fits the intent ROAR had to run this combination as the stock single cell 1/12 scale. Cost effective and good for beginners.
