Yes it works, just make sure to leave the switch OFF.

Not exactly sure if you are saying that you cant power up your receiver or the ESC when they are connected together.

But the way to connect everything is the steering servo and ESC connect to the reciever on channels 1 and 2 but you plug in a battery pack (6v) to the battery input on the receiver. A small l.i.f.e. pack would be great for 12th scale.

You may want to send your ESC in for repair or buy the upgraded BEC board and install it yourself if its available yet.

I was running a small LiFe pack on mine for a couple of weeks until I replaced that with a small BEC. Using my old 12th scale mentality, I just left the switch off and let the external power sources control the action.

I am having issues finding the "upgrade" board to get things fixed and as long as the small BEC works, I will keep it in there.

This is in my B4.1 Worlds buggy running a 8.5T ballistic at 1-4-1-1. Don't know if the settings make a difference but it is solid.

SXX TC Spec in a durango 410 6.5T

What is the yellow light and constant beep telling me?

I thought it was thermal but that has to have the blue led blinking fast as well right? The esc was only 50C

Now I think it was the BEC that gave up. I did have a broken nosram TC spec that I took the board like in post #982 above, stuck that in and I got power etc.
It wouldn't turn the motor over very well as its a different esc software/hardware etc but it worked.

Now Im thinking that hopefully the new board that LRP are releasing can solve the problem. Might even help you Jochim_18

But Im thinking that its going to cost at least $100 for that so really it may not be worth trying

Default installed the new board

Hi,
I already have installed the new board, but the motor is getting to hot, I am using the same FDR I was using on the SXX Stock Spec (with boost) 6.0 on a big track, after 4min the esc cuts-off (motor temp)
here is my setup on the new board:
Mode1 - 3
Mode2 - 2
Mode3 - 6
Mode4 - 0
Motor - Pure Evolution 13,5T
FDR - 6.0 (36-108)

then I have changed the FDR to 6.17 and it cuts-off at 5min
then changed to 7.2 FDR and cuts-off at 4min

anyone can give me an advise on the settings and FDR?
thanks
