I have a new Nosram SSX2 TC-Spec and I´m using SP motors. My 4.5t wouldn´t even spin and my 4.0 would spin but sometimes it cogs and stalls. When I start to spin it by hand it comes alive. What´s happening? Had no problem whatsoever with my HW 120A speedo....

Default Guideline to setting SXX VII esc...

Need some guideline from u guys. I've matching my SXX Version II ESC with 10.5 Dualsky Z5 motors. Normally i running at medium track about 150ft straight road. I tried several FDR & setting on the esc. Feels like the speed is very slow and most of other can overtake me very easy. Could anyone guide me what is the proper FDR & setting to make my car faster ??? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you have read the title to this thread correctly, however it is to do with the SXX V2 StockSpec ESC, not the mod versions. This ESC uses different SW to the TC Spec SXX V2.

Regards,

Calvin.

Something is very wrong. If it cogs on track, I'd suggest to go back to the recommended profile settings on the ESC and gearing from the manual.
But on the bench the motor should spin regardless of what settings you have.

Through a process of elimination, you should be able to determine whether it's the motor, battery, sensor wire, power wiring or if the ESC is simply not working with anything you hook up to it.

Without a doubt in my mind the best motor to run with a SXX V2 speed control is the LRP X12. It has dedicated profiles for that motor, and mine works great.

Got this speedo back from a warranty exchange and it's been sitting in a box since. Would like to use it in my 12th scale. Anyone have a starting setup for a 17.5 boosted 12th scale class using an Orca Motor? Rollout? Just a good starting point would be great.

Thank you for your time,

Ivan

I have had a weird occurrence with my sxx v2 speedo: after a 6 min. run in my tc the speedo would still power the motor as if I had the throttle applied at about 1/8 throttle= even when I was not touching the throttle at all, and it was in neutral. I recalibrated the speedo, and it has done this a couple of more times, but then stopped

Has anyone else had similar occurrences? If so any help would be appreciated. Happy Racin

I tested this esc with a 4.0 turn on a hooked up carpet track, 90x45' last weekend.
roll 29.5mm
esc temp @ 8 mins 145f
motor temp 110f
ambient temp 85f

Update v4.4
0-0-1-1

To be honest, I prefer the feel of the SXX Comp v2

I am having the same problem with the Corally Red 13.5 motor. I have tried shimming the motor, replacing the sensor wire, and trying out all the profiles.

From reading your post, I am getting the impression that this speedo only really works with the x12 motor - AKA A CLOSED LOOP

LRP have a lowsy habit of giving with one hand and taking away with another

I wish someone from LRP will have the decency in giving a decent response other than read the manual and change the motor - that's wat I usually get if I actually e-mail LRP.

thanks
