Questions?? few questions

Just ordered my LRP SXX spec V2 from RC MART and am awaiting delivery.

1. Would a new one include the 4.4 firware, or do I need a USB link to get the latest 4.4 firware.

2. for a large sweeping track with a 45M straight, what setting should I use with an x12 13.5 motor

thanks

The best starting point for the X12 13.5 is 5.0fdr, Feel 3 and boost 1, 3 or 5, 4 dot insert and GOOD batteries. Try 3 first on boost and then go up or down to 1 or 5 depending on how it feels and temps. I do this and do very very well no matter where I go. It's even on LRP's website. I think the reason people say this doesn't work for them is because of their batteries lacking the punch needed, car maintenance or they are running settings too high. I loaned my new LRP 65c to a fellow friend, who is also on this message board, and he noticed more punch and less fade and he even did a faster lap than me! I use MooreSpeed 50c Lipos and charge to 8.44v (brca max) which also makes you a tad faster at the start. Also charging at a higher rate, say 10 amps (only on cells that can take it) will make you faster. Run slightly warm cells.
The only thing I adjust is the boost and feel from track to track. I might try a higher FDR to see what it feels like. Only because my friend could catch up to me on a few straights but on the infield i could pull it back in some areas. It's all swings and round abouts. Going to fast for me slows me down, driving smooth speeds me up.

I might try that FDR w/13.5 x12. When you were using my LRP battery you could nose up on my tail! I have to say that was some of the 'funnest' racing I have done in a long time. All three of us in 21 laps 310.03 (you) 310.29 (10.5) 310.98(me) ...one of them being a 10.5 but that means nothing these days.
I also never laughed so much while racing with our scraps on the track. That only made the guy in front of us pull away for the win! LoL...also us saying 'sorry'...'whoops sorry' all the time cause we were driving door to door throughout.

Track was brill! My best was 21 302 w/ 3 minor scraps and I can see a 22 coming in qualifying. Not sure in a final Tho as the first lap is quite long. My fastest is 13.76...yah got me there!

Usually between 6.8 and 7.3 - the layout of our track changes every 6 weeks so changes depending on the layout

I am testing this speedo vs. my tekin and am looking for a good starting point. I run on a 75'x40' carpet track and will be using the LRP 17.5 boosted. Any help on gearing, endbell timing (if any), and speedo settings will be a big help. I'm not looking for conservative, I'm looking for speed. I'm not too concerned with motor temps. around 200 deg. if performs for 6 minutes. Thanks in advance guys.

I am running my Stock Spec V2 with the 4.4 software and my settings are as follows:

3-5-11-1

I am running a 31/105 with a 2.0 gear ratio which is about a 6.7 FDR. Four dot on the motor for timing seems to feel the best in the boosted classes. My motor comes off at about 160 with a really good fan for inside racing on a carpet track. Based on the size of the track this should get you close. I would run for about 2-3 minutes and temp the motor.

You will find that the LRP V2 SS speedo and the LRP motor are a really good combination. The power rips so hard on the bottom and has great pull down the straight. I find that the LRP will actually make your car easier to drive because of the smooth power delivery.

Hope this helps!

Artwork, thanks for the speedy reply. From what I have been reading on this thread that is right in line with what I thought. I am looking forward to testing the speedo mainly for the smooth feel and drivability of the LRP. I have run the sxx TC in mod and I already know how smooth it puts the power down, just looking for the same feel in stock. Thanks again and any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.
