There seems to be a lot of problems with the lipo cutoff...with the answer just being, run a lower cutoff setting....so is there a fundamental problem with this or not????....anyone from LRP??

7.4v sounds right.
Do not forget that under load the battery voltage drops significantly, 6.6V under load may be 7.4V when you are not drawing any current.
7.4V rest load means that you have used around 80% of your 2S battery.
It is best that you do not go above that number on a frequent basis if you want your batteries to last.

I'm sure it would work great. Super smooth and as much power as you want.

Things may not be as bleak as first expected. Seems the On/Off switch decided to take a dump. Hooked up a receiver pack and it came to life. Hope to get a new switch to fix the problem.

After further testing recommended by S.C. @ Asc., The switch tested okay. The BEC is what took a dump! Gonna have to send it in afterall!!!

Having run both..I like the LRP....Easy and it does keep up with the Tekins...
Takes a bit to get right, at least you do not need a computer...
Nice and smooth to drive, were as the Tekin seems to be very aggressive..
And.
Brilliant consistant braking with the LRP..
I run on a large, out door gas track, against Tekins, Hobby Wings, Novak's...Alls good....
Last race day..
In a final race..The top 4 cars were 1 second behind each other..
ESC positions were..
Hobby wing
Tekin
Hobby Wing
Lrp.(me). very close, tight racing.

On another note..Used the X12-17.5, 3 dot insert...at FDR of 4.7..3.4.11.1.
Used a D3...after much trying, took it slowly..ended up at roughly the same as the X12, which is 4.8 fdr, 8deg + timing on can (2 notches),will increas slowly if I need to..
3.8.10.1, when I went to 11 in mode 3..it was very, I mean patheticaly slow
Checked the "blinks" just to make sure.....Put back to 10...and soooo much better, 9 in mode 3 no good, no top end........and roughly the same temps and runs/feels pretty well the same as the X12????? Will have a better idea come race day.
Dumps at 4.30, same as X12. using the New "LRP FAT COBRAS" and the New REVTECH'S.....
The FAT COBRAS are better than the revtech's..way more initial punch...

Default Help on updating firmware

Dear All,

I need help! I heard from a driver in Bangkok. Thailand that you can actually update the LRP SXX Stock Spec V2 firmware via the LRP Pulsar Touch. I do not know how to do it. Can anyone help please. I do not have the LRP USB bridge. Thank you in advance.

There is no method to update SXX-SS from a Touch charger that I know of. You can update the firmware on your Touch though.

When I switched back in Feb from a Tekin RS to a LRP SS I saw a big difference in performance, Im a pretty consistent driver and the time I was putting into my racing at the track made for a very stable program to test new stuff. ( twice a week, 8 hours each day) I knew the track like the back of my hand and had turned 1000's of laps.

Overall top speed is on par with the Tekin in Blinky mode, the advantage I see is in the braking and acceleration. both are so smooth. We have 4 braking points on the track, with the Tekin you could get it right sometimes but not always. With the LRP it really made me confident in my braking. The other place I noticed improvement was in acceleration. There is a tight "kink" section of the track. With the Tekin you would try to apply power but it just was not there. ( mid throttle) with the LRP you could see the car accelerate in that section of the track.

Overall my consistently improved due to the above and my fastest lap dropped a 10Th.. That might not seem like much, but over a 6 minute race it makes a huge difference.

Hope this helps

I Havnt been for a while. Have they changed the track again? If it's the track that was used for the 24 hour race I think I was doing constant 24's in the 310 area.
If they made a new track I'm quite excited to run there again soon as I have just made some changes to my car that gives it very good on power steering that pulls hard and fast in corners.

The track I raced at was Rugby. Very small track.
