Depending on how it felt and temps, would consider going up from a FDR of 7 to 7.5 and compare, then work from there.

I might not make it tomorrow because its the last 1/12th National this weekend and leaving Friday to go oop north. Good luck with it, like to hear how you get on.

Thanks Terry for the advice, will speek to you soon

Sean, I would run oo in blinky mode, or when your not running any boost

Please see post #120 on this thread. I want to clarifiy that the part where fast lap was equal to the fastest lap of the boosted class, it is obvious that the boosted car was possibly a little off in handling. The feat of running equal fast lap is, however, still an important accomplishment. Tried the same with a Black Diamond V1 last night and it was a little off. Motor temperature was a lot lower. I also want to say that I liked the 0000 timing in the motor better. The rollout was increased to obtain speed. The rip through the infield was outstanding. I have run more motor timing in the past and lost some infield rip. Laptimes then suffered as the small increase in straight line speed didn't make up for it.

Default X12 17.5T in TC?

Has anyone run the SXX V2 v4.4 speedo with x12 in 17.5 no-timing? How does it compare when running the speedo with a D3 or D2?

To add to this insult, after exchanged my last stock spec as warranty for an LRP sxx TC, and you know what, it cogs, not as bad as the stock specs, but bad enough. And then to understand that there are some people having problems with your latest stock specs...........why?
Did you use the sensor wire that comes with them?

I've been told that LRP calibrate the sensor to the resistance in their wire, so using an aftermarket or different length sensor can cog.

For what it's worth my SXX V1 hasn't cogged once. I love it, except when I have to solder it, but personally I wouldn't sacrifice ANY performance for it to be easier to solder.

As suggested by sean and terry I reset the motor to 4 dots and fdr to 7 overall
mode 2 @4 mode 3 @8, ran rearly well, just a little on the hot side, reset fdr to 7.5 lots better and real quick, (and loads more feel than the gm 13.5 set up that i have been running) recomend this set upto be a great starting point for anyone with this combo.

that's interesting, didn't know that!

Although I'm quite happy with my HW now, I don't think I will go lrp, until I get smoked by em. Cant see that happening tbh

The software doesn't work on 64 bit? Thats unfortunate I only have 64 bit machines.

Also can anyone explain the effects of switching from 4.2 to 4.4?

We know the software works flawless on 32Bit computers, 64Bit is a bit strange and we currently test different approaches to make it work on 64Bit as well. I know of a few people who have succesfully installed it on 64Bit machines as well, but it doesn't work everywhere and we need to understand why.

Btw, don't there is no must to update! Original release v4.2 works absolutely flawless as well, the difference on v4.4 are the ramp profiles under Mode3 which make motors run a lot cooler. All the rest is identical in regards of performance & reliability.

Default 4.2,4.3 and 4.4

The Esc comes with 4.2 installed at the moment, i ran it in 1s 10.5 with 4 dot insert rollout was 48mm in a 1/12th. settings 0,4,5,0. Car was very harsh and aggressive.

Up graded to 4.4 and car is now very linear settings have changed dramatically 3 dot insert. 0,5,11,0 and rollout of 41.5mm Car is not as fast top speed but laps times are better as the car is now easier to drive.Hottest the motor has got over 8mins is 57c.
HTH

Im looking for some settings and rollout for using a 13.5 bl in a 1/12th plan to do the iiic AND THAT IS THE 1/12TH CLASS.

If you are running zero boost mode there should be no performance difference as the changes were made in the boost mode.

Are you running 2s? If so from the testing we have done you should get better performance and lower motor temps by sticking to the slow ramp profiles, odd numbers. At least with LRP motors, I cannot speak for other brands. This also is not meant to say that is the only way it works, just something to keep in mind.
