I have run both in a xray t3'12 with a tekin rs pro & revtech 65c battery, i only did a few laps with the thunder power but the Reedy did feel smoother

Well from what I was told about your track its not really high grip more weird but thats kind of irrelevant.

There is no real rule I just try stuff until I like it.

Here is the thing generally with 1s racing and blinky its all about car. You can get close in motor setup and if your car is better you will finish the race much stronger than the guy whose car is 80 percent but faster in a straight line.

This is what I would try for this stuff

12th scale 17.5 blinky. Red rotor timed at 35 degree rollout at 95 ish to start. I put ceramics in all my motors now which may not help much or it may but it makes me feel better.

Again this setup might work for one person and suck for another its all about driving style and car in blinky 1s classes


In WGT I would try 25 degrees of timing rolled out at about 85 with a red rotor. This should get you close.

Always check temps after 3 minutes to make sure you arent going to melt stuff down but in 1s applications that is a rarity.

If you are getting your motor to melt down proportions in 1s you are doing something wrong.

Hi

I am running a FT SC10 2WD at a local indoor track here in Vegas with the Thunder Power 7.5 motor. What would you recommend for pinion/spur gear?

it seems I have too much torque as my car loves to spin out when I come out of the corners.

Any chance for a 17.5 boosted tc setup? Just want a base setup, do these motors like a high or low fdr? Preferably with the hobbywing.

those setting for red rotor that stock rotor with timing set on 25 on motor

Boost Timing : 20
Turbo Slope : 18
Turbo Timing : 40

Default Ian Whittingham XRAY T3 2012 TQ and overall win using Z3R-S 13.5

Ian Whittingham drove his XRAY T3 2012 to TQ and overall win at the fourth round of Carpet Masters held at Stafford(UK) indoor track.

This was the first event using the 13.5 Z3R-S.

It was geared at 86/17 - 9.61 with a laptime of 9.1.

Hi, what motor timing and ESC settigs was he using?

I have been testing today at Aldershot with a 13.5 with a Black Diamond ESC.
Tried the motor with 20, 25 and 27deg of timing?
