Reedy 767 brushes---> fade?
I think I read somewhere that the 767 brushes "fade" halfway through a run so that your car still has the rpms but loses a lot of punch. I think I have been having this problem.
Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

It could just be overgearing/overheating and your magnets are fading...

Banzai
They use 767`s in there p2k2 & monster, me & my little friend (12) used both & we said lets see how many races we can do before they show any performance drop off, they went off on race 4, & i was knocking on the door of the track record(5 secs off)
So i think they are good brushes, the 767`s will be harder on the com but not as bad as putnams & they do add RPM`s,
Check your motor temp should be around 160-170, if it`s way more you are proberly over gearing hence hot which will lead to fade

I thought about 130-140 was high as you want to go.

i just done the KO GP at west london(2 dayer), i was really running them at around 160-170 i was running a banzai monster which use 767`s & also EA roar monster 2 (that was fast) & they come equipped with 767`s & i had no fade what so ever, the EA was run twice before i looked at it,it ran good on the second run also, & i repeat i had no fade whats so ever in both cases.I was in the A-main with the big boys, finished 6th overall after 3 leg finals.
The track is fast & open lots of onpower steering,we were doing 17.5-18 sec laps,we done fast 17laps or slow 18 lappers.
Me personnaly was geared at 6.10 to 6.18

767's are great brushes and what I always use....
I really dont pay much attention to motor heat. As long as its not super hot...ie the two finger rule.
Gear your motor according to lap times not heat....

Peter Robinson, who got 3rd at Nationals in stock, used the SAME pair of 767 brushes in his stock motor in heats, 3 and 4, along with ALL 3 A mains....he wasn't lacking on power, just a bump from behind kept him from catching Alex in the 2nd A main(he started 7th).
He also made the A main in 19t, using the SAME brushes in heats 4 and 5....along with A 3 amains.
Long and the short of it, they don't fade. Just clean them between runs and make sure your brush hoods are aligned and cleaned....
Now on modifieds, they could fade if the motor was not setup correctly or the driver is a throttle jockey.

This has been happening with monster stock motors and reedy 19t quad motors. It seeks ok with trinity 4499 brushes except the 767 seem like they have more power until they start to fade halfway through. This is outdoors on asphalt with motor temps of 160-180.
